What are the indications of success in life?

I think every body has different perspective on success. Some people think the significant indication of success in life is good position in job, having a beautiful children, a big house, having big salary, etc. So, what do think? What do you think the indication on success in your life? I thank you for those who respond my question because your respond is valuable to enrich my horizon and perspective of life.

the indication of sucess for me is happiness and peace of mind.
One can be successful even if his income is not that high or even if his house is even a shanty. everyone has their own challenges in life. One can be rich but still feel unsuccessful because of a sad family life. One can have a big house but be worried of a sickness.
one does not need to have everything to be truly successful. I believe it radiates from within..

Yeah, I agree with you graceekwenx. Success means happiness and peace of mind. If you'd able to make other people happy that's a plus.
We can't bring anything that we work hard in this life. It's nothing, what matters is what we give to others and what we impart to change their life for the better. That's all that matters and that's success.

I definitely agree that inner peace is essential for success in life.Yes there are many people with abundance of resources yet unhappy just as there are those in the same state of mind due to poverty.I believe contentment with what one has along with a desire to improve ones position in life help in leading a content life.Working hard
to earn is essential in life.After one earns sufficiently to look after one's needs and those dependent on us we should also try to help those less privileged than us.

I think a perfect example would be "A Beautiful Life" with Jimmy Stuart. He never accomplished anything he set out to do in his life. was never very successful in anything according to his personal reflection of self. It wasn't until the end of the movie that he was in trouble and the entire town came to his rescue. You may never know the profound impact you've had on the people around you. I consider myself successful because of the family and friends I have around me. Happy My-lotting!
