Will Sen Lacson's expose affect the candidacy of Erap?

Recently, Sen. Panfilo Lacson told the media that he will expose all his knowledge about Erap as a public official. We all know that Erap is Lacson's former boss when the former is still the vice president, but eventually parted ways. Now that Erap says that he is almost sure that he will run again for president, do you think Lacson's expose will affect his candidacy? Or Erap will really find it hard to win especially now that Noynoy will also run? No hurting words, please.

I am really not sure. this is bad publicity for his candidacy but bad or good publicity is still publicity. It will just bring noise to his name. He will be always remember by this news. It depends on the people if they will believe on Senator Lacson or on Erap. Me I don't believe in both of them. They are both selfish. I don't believe in Noynoy too. I am just stating my opinion.

Yes I will vote on May 2010, but I don't believe in any one of them. I don't like all the candidates for president. I will decide on April 2010 who will I choose to vote.

Hello.. Yes I think lacson aims for survival but if bears some truths then I think we ought to hear him out. Let's just wait and see., anyways we know that in politics there are no permanent friends nor enemies just permanent interest. I'm for Noynoy and let me explain why. First Honor. He's the son of both heroes Ninoy and Cory., I know the haccienda luisita shadowed her image but let me ask you one thing does she solely own the place? No, so I think there are lots to consider. Anyway for the sake of argument I'll agree she protected her interest against her better judgment but who wouldn't right? It's their family's property for generations. For me a person is allowed to make a mistake as long as that person so acted thinking that it was the right thing to do at that time. Anyway aside from this issue Cory did her best. kept her honor and integrity. Most of all she never stole from the people - for me a vital component for a President to have. Bottom line, I think it's unfair to blame noynoy for her mother's supposedly fault doing regarding their haccienda. I think noynoy would continue to uphold his parent's honor if he wins the presidency. I know I would if I'm in his place. 2nd. He has no wife and children yet and more importantly he has no extended families like erap. I know erap is a good man with good intentions but I can't vouch for his extended families., can anyone? I mean with many mouths to feed and to satisfy who wouldn't be tempted to steal right? Considering the meager salary of a President, even in minute amount but even so that would where the corruptions start, from the top down. 3rd. His reputation is good He has no business to protect like villar. I mean if Villar would donate his business to charity and be equal in assets with noynoy then I will believe that his intention for this country is to serve it's people and not himself and his businesses. 4th. His age. His ripe for the job not too young and not too old. He also have quite an experience in the senate and one thing he said that I like, he said that if he wins he will also step down after his term. It goes without saying that he will protect the constitution and that's what important for me. thanks I hope a Good president be elected God knows the Philippine is in dire need of one.

With or without the privilege speech of Senator Ping Lacson come Monday, I am definitely not voting for Erap come 2010 elections. Erap is very much associated with the Velarde case and people should not forget that. But I am definitely looking forward to what Senator Lacson has to say. Senator Lacson was ERAP's subordinate then. Surely, he knows a lot of about ERAP. Still undecided who to vote for come elections time.

I think it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black. Erap and Lacson were thick as thieves before and during Erap's administration that I am pretty sure whatever Lacson throws at Erap, he will surely catch most of it too. Does anybody really believe Lacson anymore? As for the Noynoy and Erap battle, the two really are not in the same arena. The Erap crowd is Edsa 3 while Noynoy's is Edsa 1 and 2. Erap will be hard-pressed if he tries to run. Remember FPJ's candidacy was derailed by the case filed against him. Erap might not be able to repeat his landslide 1998 victory. As for Noynoy, good luck to him. I think what I admired about his announcement was his presentation of his platform. Have you heard of any other candidate who did that? I am not too sure though of his leadership abilities or whether he is The One. I am keeping an open mind on this.

Its politics and publicity. I think Lacson's expose will somehow affect Eraps candidacy, it may be in a positive manner or the negative. Don't you think its unusual that the forgotten cases that involved Senator Lacson and former President Erap be exposed at this time, just right when the election is near?

Well I do not really know what Lacson's motive is from making an expose about President Erap's style of leadership. I think SpoiledBrat is correct in saying that they were once close friends and allies in politics. But they started drifting apart when lacson supported GMA during the EDSA 2 revolt. During the presidential election came about in 2004, they seem to reconcile but again was disappointed because he was not given the support by Erap in his presidential bid but chose FPJ as his choice. I think there is some kind of trying to putting all the blame to Erap about the case he is facing right now. There is really no choice for lacson but to put Erap down before Lacson will be blamed for Dacer-Corbito Case. If Erap would win the election he might evade prosecution that is why Lacson is stopping this from happening. I do not see any connection with Noynoy in here. Lacson has no connection whatsoever with Noynoy. With regards to Erap having a hard time I guess if the criminal case would be going on while he is on campaign it would taint his campaign with this case looming on his candidacy and not because Noynoy's around.

I guess there should be some difficulty this time.. For all his dirty linens are out in the open for public to know.. As such, some voters might be swayed or influenced upon what they will hear.. Be it ple trusting Erap in the past or what, but this exposure by lacos will definitely have some impact on the candidacy for sure..

Hi fatherblogger. I can't think of anything more about this issue. spoiledbrat had layed down all the cards now. They were really closed friends before, playing in the same team, then parted ways. So that can be told, Ping knows alot about Erap. He can totally put Erap down, if he would want to. Noynoy's declaration to run the presidency is the biggest thing to happen in the present surveys and in totallity, the 2010 elections. Votes will get divided by a huge percentage. This means a lot and will see what happen in the next coming surveys, (though I don't care about surveys. ) I keep telling this one, in some threads I already read, Erap probably need not run anymore. The Supreme Court will always be behind him. So, better for Erap is to give up and give somebody a chance.

I dont think it will affect erap candidacy, coz after all both of them have of same profile though different in history. And I dont believe either they gonna make it the presidency only if they still have public credibility.

I do hope he testify this time to reveal the truth about what Erap is really hiding, am not sure why he keeps on attempting to run for the Presidency. well, there goes another level of competition int Presidential Race, but all same same, it's all about popularity and fame, Noynoy is sure in for that fame of the Cory Magic. regarding Lacson, i sure hope he tells the truth this time, or he'll be in trouble too.

I think Erap will not win because he had a lot of competitors, and we all know what he had done when he was in the position. I think Lacson is very insecure because it is not necessary to expose all the bad things that erap had done for we all know what are those. We also know that Lacson is always trying to destroy anyone who wants to be a President especially Villar.
