hello cloud_kicker_32,
when the month of "ber" starts, you can hear christmas songs on air already. same is true with the christmas decors. for ber month is the beginning of christmas.
we do put our christmas decors after the all saints and souls day though.

Hello robert. I've been hearing Christmas carols here since September 1. People really are preparing for Christmas as early as September. I know that I would be spending a lot again this Christmas, but at least I would be looking forward to my 13th-month pay.

Good day... In the Philippines where Christmas starts at the ber months., its already starting. Countdown to Christmas has already started. We can here it both on TV and radios., there is also a radio announcer who is already greeting merry Christmas in the morning. Filipinos are generally festive people and they do enjoy Christmas very much being the only Christian nation in Asia. Since the weather is good during the holiday people are actually looking forward to it. Even in the midst of global recession Filipinos find ways to celebrate it even in the simplest way. We are hobbit in heart.

I have not seen many christmas items in the shops yet but I don't suppose it will be long before we do,although I have done a bit of christmas shopping, only if I have seen a bargain and it will suit someone in the family.I dread it this year, luckily we only have one son left at home to buy big presents for.I end to get tunnel vision and only see what I want to see. That seems to work quite well, not going into town unless it is really necessary is also another good way of not knowing what is going on.

It's totally crazy! I was in some stores today that had out Christmas stuff. My daughter of course spotted the decorations first and told me about them. I couldn't believe it was Christmas stuff. Isn't this Sept.? Does anyone else think this is a little early? I am really starting to hate the stores and commercialism. I am thinking about how to decommercialize our life. NOT buying stuff in SEPT! is certainly one way.

i am not a fan of christmas at all. i am a halloween girl, that is my favorite day of the year. it is like christmas for me, because that is the one day in the year where i do not feel like a freak and when no one stares at me. they automatically think that i am dressed for halloween. ha ha

i have at michaels already which makes sense because if the stuff is out now, it gives us crafters time to make things for christmas. but here in canada, we have thanksgiving in october so we usually have fall/halloween and then christmas (then christmas stuff usually comes out mid to late october!)

It is a strategy for business owners to attract customers to be excited. In shopping malls they create an environment like christmas to make customers think of early presents or plan ahead to what item they would buy on christmas. This make them remember their christmas bonus to lure them to look for prospective gifts.

I like Chrismtas but I don't like Christmas... I liek the atmosphere of Chrismas, decoration, Christmas gifts and stuff but when I think of the cold in Chritmas, that makes me unhappy... I saw all the decorations and stuff already in lots of store, I started to think about what I want to decorate this year for the house and what I should get for whom.

Hello cloud kicker!
I haven't gone outside to shop but hey! i would be somehow pondering to myself how fast time flies by. I guess it's just a usual reaction for us. I have been searching for a job in my previous university and still am waiting for a call from them. I hope i could get the job before Christmas arrives so that i could join my friends and family members in exchanging gifts. We all know that time is precious. And for others who are still looking for a job who pays real money, maybe they could spend their time here on myLot to make them earn even just a little for themselves.

Yeah I know, even Walmart had some Christmas stuff the other day. I almost freaked. I cant believe it that they are starting to put that stuff out there already. To me it's way to early. I don't mind picking up a few things through the year just for the kids, but still. When I see the decorations this early it's scary.

yes, us here christmas starts as soon as the "ber" months come (it starts in september).
these enterprising store owners start early so they earn more. the people too would like to buy early maybe to avoid the rush or to avail of early sale promos.
well, christmas is always a happy event for us, i am happy that christmas is just around the corner.

Doesn't it seem like each year brings Christmas decorating sooner and sooner? We barely get past Trick or treating from Halloween and we're putting up the Christmas tree. Holidays give us a break to breathe!

I think that it is kinda cool since it gives people who dont' have alot of money a few months to get a little each month before it is really needed so they won't be left out with no decorations on Christmas. Also gives them time to buy it now so they won't be spending the money in a month they will be strapped for cash anyhow. I have seen some Christmas stuff out and I just think it is cute..

I know, it's crazy! They really want to catch people early, though. People know very well that it's a problem for them to get into stores sometimes closer to christmas. A lot of stuff sells out fast then, too. I haven't really seen any yet around here, but then again I don't go out to stores very often. Every time I see it, though, I just shake my head and laugh at how silly everyone acts around christmas time and how impatient everyone is to get it to come. No matter how early you put out the decorations, it doesn't come any faster!

Hello Cloud,
I have just come back from a shopping mall at town. But I didn't see any decoration of Christmas and there isn't any Christmas stuff for sale. But because Muslims here are going to celebrate the Raya Festival, hence all the decorations are mostly on Malay style and Malay stuff.
I think it might take 1 more month for us to see Christmas stuff here...

hahaha perhaps they wanted to be the first stores to sell christmas decors....when we were in high school, my friends and i used to greet each other merry christmas on september 1st. we wanted to be the first one to greet each other.....coz they say that september is the start start of the "ber" months....se[tember, October, november, & december. when sms (text messaging came) and we don't see each other anymore coz we're all in different colleges & universities, we send other christmas greetings when september1 arrives. there was a time also when i got so excited for christmas (some strange kiddie stuff). we decorated the christmas tree on september 1st. then when december came, the tree is very dusty & the decors looked so old and ugly.
