how long does it take you to forgive someone? personally, it depends on what the person did to me. if it was something really hurtful, then it would take me a while to forgive. how about you? do you forgive and forget? or do you just forgive but never forget?

It is diffecult to do so.It is easy to say but i think it is quite diffecult to do.I can't forget but i forgive whether it is hurtful or not.We all say we forget but,if,the hurtful situation come won't the recollection come to us!So i forgive but can't forget.

I am the type of person who can forgive easily but can hardly forget. If a person has done wrong to me, can forgive him instantly but I hardly forget what he did to me. It makes me more cautious next time. My friends know who I am so they know that once my trust on them is tainted with even a single wrong done to me, it make take a while before they can gain back my trust.

Sometimes it takes a bit too little for my own sake. Granted, I never really "forget". It shouldn't be. To forgive someone for a grieve mistake and just forget it it's asking for them to do the same thing over and over again, with you constantly ending up hurt time and time again, so I learned to go against that practice. Then, depending upon the error of the other person, how long I may take to forgive it varies. I both went past my little tantrum an hour later or it may have took several days, because some people know how to be -that- harmful and probably just deserved that I stopped talking with them altogether, but, unfortunately I just tend to be too much on the gentle side with certain people and I end up setting myself to just be tripped again... until one day I just decide to not forgive again.
