Ellen DeGeneres replacing Paula Abdul on American Idol!

I just read that on Yahoo News!
I don't really watch American Idol but I like the auditions because there's always someone to laugh at hehehehe.
Paula was a nice judge but as the saying goes, "the show must go on."
I think Ellen will do just dandy.

Wow Really, that's a bit, surprising. I know how good she is in her talk show but am not sure on how can she be good in judging other people's talents. well, we'll see about that but i think she's gonna do great that she can joke on them too@rg0205 (2636)

I cant really imagine her being mean to any contestant but that would definitely be interesting. She probably will be the "nice" judge like Paula Abdul was.
We'll see though, like everyone says. I was surprised about it, too, because I didnt know that AI was considering her for the spot.
Oh well, that's entertainment for ya. We'll just wait and see

Really?? wow... I just knew about that now. Well, what can I say? Ellen never fails to make me laugh at her own TV show and maybe she will make a kind of different twist to the next AI season. Can't wait to see how she will make her comments at the end of each performance. Hmmmm...I'm thinking if Oprah could possibly join them someday..??:) Maybe not. We know for a fact that Ellen really loves music and I love the way she grooves her body everytime she asks her DJ to play a song.

Yep, really.
I think Oprah is a bit too serious/ analytical. She might just go: "Why don't you do some soul searching" for the ones that done make the cut hehhe.
I agree, I think Ellen would bring a different flavor to the show, especially because she loves music and she's a comedian. She always makes me laugh with her antics.

we will see, maybe a good comic will add to the menagerie of judges, i do think however abdul made a great choice leaving, she'll be able to expand her horizons on tv and perhaps song and a movie. usually you only see her during the a.i. season and already she's been on different shows amd cutting new songs, hurray for her.

AI was entertain for me in the beginning but as the seasons/years progressed, I got bored with it and I was no longer that impressed with the contestants.
Ellen is funny, she does provide comic relief, especially in her own talk show. I think she'll add that to the bunch of judges but you're right though. I think Paula made the right decision.
