My son recently started listening to the old Black Sabbath music and Ozzy Osborne. Can someone tell me if I should be worried? I mean, just the name of the band is enough to worry me, and I don't like to go by looks, but c'mon...Ozzy looks scary. I've heard how he talks and his vocabulary was and is very limited, it seems (to vulgar language and etc.). What DOES the name Black Sabbath imply? Did they come by it in some particular way or it was just to sound as rebellious as they possibly could?

No, don't get worried . Sure, they have some pretty racy lyrics, but so does modern Rap/Hip-Hop, & it's probably just a phase he's going through . I personally love Ozzy, although i was never into Black Sabbath . Keep an eye on his behavior, but if it's just him listening to this music, it's cool .

Thanks! Funny thing is, he's like me in that he likes all kinds of music. His favorite is country! Imagine that. He also likes old time gospel music and bought Alan Jackson's CD with all the old gospel songs on it that Alan recorded for his Mother. I think I admitted that I do like a few of the old songs...Crazy Train, Iron Man (I change the lyrics when I sing along....to Iron Mom...lol), etc. The reason I have a little concern about it is that my son is basically a loner. Kids have to come to him to make friends, he won't go to them. He's too quiet. You know what they say, the quiet ones are the ones to watch.
Thanks for your input. I know you're right.
