I use liquid because it does dissolve better. I hate the build-up of detergent that you see in the dispensers at the laundry mat. This build-up is due to fillers in the detergent. If I wanted filler, I would go out and buy saw dust!

Hi. gicolet. I use liquid detergent to wash my clothes in as am adult. This is all that my husband buys. When I used to live at my grandmother's house when I was younger, she used to always buy powdered detergent. Sometimes, I would wash my clothes and I would end up using too much of the powder, and when my clothes was washed, powder residue was still on it. What a mess! So, now my grandmother and others that live with her, use liquid detergent. It goes better through the water pipes. They can no longer use powdered detergent. It clogs up more.
