Does anyone else here get irritated when people's answers to almost everything for everyone else around them is to pray or give into their religious beliefs? Gah.. I really hate when people do more than send their well wishes and actually impose religion as the solution to all of life's problems.
Okay... */end rant/* heh

I like people to gives a concrete advices and constructive criticism and tell my weaknesses and strength to the solution to the problem rather than stopping to the common advices like praying as i know people know to pray. A real advices need not to put your own beliefs as the good remedy as it could makes the receiver feel annoy and piss off being receiving the same repetitive advices. Could they suggest other ideas rather than the common advices? I hope they do so..

I'm a deeply spiritual person of the non-christian persuasion. That said, part of my spiritual belief is that you have to work for what you want. If all you do is pray, then usually very little if anything will change.
Few people even know what prayer truly is, they think its some kind of life style bailout.
I find the greatest issue with , religion is the answer, when it comes to scientific discovery. So much of our ethical progress, especially in medical research, is hampered by thousand year old religions that wouldn't know a cancer or a stem cell if it came up and kicked them in the butt.
Your point reminds me of a story.
A man is standing on the roof of his house during a major flood. The water is rising quickly. He prays constantly, "God help me!"
A group of people on a boat float by and offer him help. He says, "No, god's gonna help me!"
A few hours later the water is up to the second floor of his house two more people on a boat come by. The same thing happens.
Now the water is up to his roof and soon he'll drown. One more person on a home made raft comes by. The offer is made. The man says "No, god will save me." again.
The man drowns.
For those of you who pray for everything in life, just remember that even if you believe god provides for those who pray.. you still have to make an effort to get into the boat.
