Where have you failed and excelled at earning online?

I am working online and not having to much success so far. While I have made some, I haven't made much. I devote around 8 hours a day to getting referrals and alot of other things, but I don't get much. I want to hear from you! What have you tried and failed at online? What have you tried and excelled at online? I want true honesty here. If you are tryin to get me to sign up for something with your answer and it isn't true, please do not respond!

What other things are you trying? I actually know some people who make a decent amount online, even enough to make a living. Unfortunately I'm not one of them! LOL I hope to be eventually, though. I'll be having a little more time on my hands now that my youngest is off to college.
