I was wondering if you adopted or bought a dog? I wanted to know because my friend adopted a dog and it has horrid aggression now that it got at there house but the dog they bought is the friendlist little thing.

I have two rescue dogs I adopted. Both are friendly and sweet.

I adopted a dog in the past,I ended up bringing him back because he was agressive, where he was chewing on a glove(my glove) and when I went to take it away he growl and bit me.Then there was another incident where he wouldn't get off my bed and he growl and bit me.I took him back because he had issues I wasn't gonna put up with.I went and bought a dog and still have him today. The dog I bought is so friendly and loves everyone. If I don't want him on my bed he jumps off when I say "off."I probably will never adopt again because I feel those dogs have issues or they wouldn't be up in the shelters.I'll probably buy the next dog I want to get. It's worth it because you have it as a puppy and it'll get to know you.It will have the personality you want it to have.

Kinda original topic here, I think. At least never seen it around before. Well, as for my latest dog, Dolly, she's been found, so I guess you can say adopted. She was abandoned at a farm and we just felt we wouldn't let her live a miserable life, rather give her a place where she can be loved and happy.

All of our fuzzies have been adopted but one. The rabbit we bought as a gift for our kids. Two dogs where foundlings, one at a truck stop in Texas,(he has passed but we miss our little guy), the other some physco tossed out of his car in front of my husbands job. She was about 4 months old and out the window she went into traffic. She is a black lab and the best dog I have ever had. Our hound was going to be given to the SPCA but my husband got to him first. One cat is from the SPCA the other from a family member's cat's litter. All of our fish and crawdad are from the river near by. As for the dogs attitude it is a matter of personality. Every dog has it's own just as every person does which is why it is important to try to make sure the personality matches yours.

We bought our golden retriever and he's as friendly as friendly gets, but I do have a lot of friends with adopted dogs that are also nice. I think the dog's temperament depends on a lot of things: it's age, how it was treated prior to being bought/adopted, and the breed/personality of the individual dog.
