Hi, mobhomeir. I would not work if I had a light fever. I would not be able to perform on my job like I would desire to. Having a fever can interfere with my ability to concentrate on my job. So, I won't work that day. Even if I had to work for financial needs, I would not go in to work for that day if I am feeling sick.

i have often gone to work with a low grade fever because 1) i work in a very small office and even if one person is sick, the whole office suffers and 2) i didnt feel sick other than having a fever. if i am really sick, i stay home. i dont want to share my germs!

I do. My work really needs attention and my presence. I really need to work even if i have a fever. My boss is very particular with absences. And i guess if you think that you can still work then why not go to work and just take a medicine for you to be alright. But if you think that can't work then get rest and take a medicine for you to get well.

it depends on the needs. for example, if i have a deadline to meet and my output is expected on that day, then i really have to report to work with or without slight fever. it is my commitment to deliver on the tasks assigned to me. aside from the financial needs which will be addressed by wages/pay from our work, there are other important considerations if we need to report to work or not. light fever can be repulsed by a simple medication. goodluck and take care of your body.

That's it my friend. That's the big problem whenever you have a job you must oblige to do it though you must have to rest for health problem..like me should it not be for financial priorities I would not be here in my job..I would have been today at our home resting...anyways since life must go on, this is it..thanks for your concern and respond...

i work as a bassist in a band, and i still go to work even with a light fever. i just bring my medicine and drink it as what it is said. if i will not got to work the whole band will get affected with it. but i talk to the band that if this light fever get worst they need to find a replacement for the next day. we all do that we still go to work even we have light fever but instruct the band that they need to have a standby replacement if the fever gets worst.

That the big problem there my friend. A job that you must oblige but I think you had a good option by having a stand bye one in case things unexpectedly happen...thanks for responding then...

Yes, I would. I know the importance of my work. I have agent who are expecting their audits and have me discuss their learning opportunities in a particular week. If it's light fever and I know that I would take the health of others at risk, why should I make it as an excuse not to come to work.

I work from home, so it does not matter. However, if I worked in an office with other people, I would not go to work, if I had a light fever. I would want to get over it, and make sure that I did not have any contageous problems, before going back to work, and possibly spreading an illness to others.

I don't go to work when i have light fever... because that might make my condition even worst... thus i might be absent a lot longer... i think when a person is sick... he/she should just stay in the house and rest... lest the condition from light fever might turn into a high fever...

Yes you're right. In my case I know I could carry myself in spite of bad feeling that I felt. Well if it worsen I rather see my boss and ask permission to go home in order for me to rest for the next day's work...

i guess by this time, you are feeling good. as for me, a slight difference in my body temperature will not prevent me from working. even if i feel bad, as long as i can drive for work, i will work.

There was a time when I was really sick. I had fairly high fever and still worked as it was important for the project we were doing. It was the final day of deployment and I had to be up and working. So yes I have worked and will probably do it again, if the need arises. But 1 thing I do ensure is that if its something infectious then I won't put others at risk. For instance, I had flu. I called my manager and told her this. She asked me to rest as flu is contagious. So I took rest at home.

Hi,mobhmoeir. I would not continue working in that case, because without good rest the situation could get worse than you expected under work environment.Your health is the most important,so I'll make sure there's not problem ,then back to work.Think about how high you working efficiency could be when you have light fever... However,if it was just a cold,I would not care,it doesn't matter, just drink more water and you'll be ok.

Just recovered from high fever. It's very difficult to work while fighting against bacteria, but often work and situations force us to remain in work. Just hope we won't remain in peace too soon ;D

Having a slight fever is enough reason for me not to go to work. First, is I don't want my colleagues to catch the virus. Second, I need the rest so my body can recover the soonest possible time. Third, so I can consume my sick leave credits LOL. Cheers!

It would probably depend on my work load and the day of the week. If I have a light workload and it's still the middle of the week, I would probably work a bit then go home early. I don't want to be absent as much as possible, my boss is very strict when it comes to attendance. I want to reserve my absence for the time I really can't get up from bed anymore and should really rest.

I think it depends on the situation. I would usually go to the office, but when I wouldn't go to my part-time daycare job because I have much more contact with the children than with the adults at the office. But, with h1n1 going around, the office has some strict policies about coming to work sick. We import/export a huge amount of food products so shutting down due to epidemic could be disastrous!

Oh yeah that's the exemption there..of course I would not work then if that's the case...but since our office are not so particular this h1n1 virus I had been permitted to report and work things out..thanks for responding..

Hello friend! I also experience what happens to you right now. It's not really that risky for you to work at your condition but you should take medicine and limit your usual working capacity. You need energy to recover my friend. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.:)
