I have been through so much in my life that, that i actually got addicted to smoking ciggerates . It was all "fun" and "cool" before, but now after 2 years its getting on me very badly. I cough badly and whenever i do, my chest pains. i used to do around 3 packets per day, thats around 50-60 ciggs per day, but then i realized it not "cool" anymore, so i came down to like 6-7 per day and now am stuck to that. I want to leave it, but i dont know how. I guess many of you also do smoke and i guess many of you have quit also. Can you give me tips and tricks how to get rid of this, This is just getting too much, The last option for me would be goin to a addiction center but that will cost money and my parents would also know, which is a bad thing . Help me OUT guys

From your words,I notice that your parents have not known your addiction to smoking? That is bad,And that is to say If they know you are an addict, they may be very sad.And surely that this hobby is do some harm to your physical health, discarding this addiction seems so important and essential.
I myself don't smoke, but my father used to ,luckly he don't like it now,For one thing he did not smoke so much,And most important he used foods like biscuit instead of smoking, that is effective...wish this method will help you, good luck

I also use food as a way and mean to distract my craving, but by the end of the day, i am full and i am fat and i am still craving. I know its bad for my health and if things don't work out well i guess, i will have to tell my parents about this , then maybe i could smoothen up things but thats the last ultimatum choice. I don't want damage done in my household. Anyways thanks for replying here. Happy mylotting buddy

I don't smoke but I know of a person who has successfully quit and he told, actually his wife told me how he did it. She said it's really just up to you. It's within you to quit. If you really, really want to quit, you can quit. If you're unsuccessful, it means that you don't actually really want to quit. You have to psyche yourself into quitting. You have to really want it. If you can tell your mind this, you can do anything.

Well, i know , You are correct, and this is the only way i came from 60 ciggs in one day to 8-9 per day, but its like i can't do this anymore. In between i have even left smoking for 2 weeks thinking like this only and making my mind in a peaceful attention that i don't want to smoke and i wont't from now. But after 2 weeks , it was uncontrollable . I got literally mad , i wanted it so badly by the end of those two weeks. By the way, this is a 1 month old story in my life. anyways thank for you replying here . Happy mylotting

When I quit I used the nicotine patch, plus always had a ton of hard candy and Twizzlers on hand. It helps if you can find a way to just stay at home for the first three days or so, because taking a lot of naps helped as well, but if you can't, try your best to stay out of or at least remove yourself from stressful situations.

hi frnd,
i think its not big task when compared with the tasks u faced in ur life. First believe in urself n believe u can quit. n get remembered of ur some most difficult things u have faced n u realise u have guts to do it. And now its up to u.
