When the movie the "Time Machine" with Rod Taylor was a popular classic in 1966, the character came back to tell his scientist friends that he made it to the future. They scoffed, and he went back to the future and the housekeeper noticed that 3 books were missing from the bookshelf that he took with him. If you wanted to start the human race all over again which 3 books would you take. I think one of them was the Bible but I'd be curious to find out what others think.

I totally agree with you that the Bible would be one of them. The others, in my opinion would have been Mathematics related. Everything in this world has to do something or another with Mathematics, whether you know it or not. The other I would say would have been History related.
BUT, what I’m thinking is why would he need books at all if they had that Hologram Guy (library) that had an answer for Anything you wanted to know?

As I remember, I thought the discs that provide all the information to the Eloi or whoever wants to know was how everything that led up to that point came to be, but you may be right. Anyway, I always wanted to ask this question, and wanted to have fun with it, so I'm really glad you responded. I like your answer, too.

When I saw that movie in the 60's I always wanted to discuss the possible answers people would give. Think about it. If you want to, give some thought on a philosophical view as to how we could start a whole new world and how to prevent war from ending mankind. I like to analyze things, I guess. But thanks for responding anyway.
