Lies, lies, lie... tell me sweet little lies!

In my job, I hear a lot of lies. Good lies, bad lies, in between lies, white lies, scary lies, unbelievable lies. It is amazing the things people will say. I, personally, am not a good liar. I lied to my parents some and didn't always give a ton of details but I never really lied to the points I have seen since working in my current position. I am curious, what kinds of lies have you heard? Do you lie? Can you remember a lie you told that really effected someone? Do you have a family member that lies a lot? A spouse? Have you ever know a pathological liar?

I am a really good liar. But i dont lie unless i have to because i know how much one little lie can be blowed all out of proportion. And also, some lies can hurt someone really bad, and i dont like hurting people.

Your right, they do usually get blown so far out of proportion that it can do some serious damage. I always feel back when people get hurt and it is worse when it is someone I really care about. So, you are a careful liar. Interesting! Able to control yourself well. Good for you, at least you are not a compulsive liar, right!?!

I sometimes find myself in a position where it is better to lie. I don't feel like I am very good at it though. I usually make a fool out of myself and blow the entire thing. I guess it is like the old saying, practice makes perfect. Do you think you are just a natural?

I've gone so far that I'm teaching my boys how to lie. Sooner or later they wake up to that generalized hypocrasy, thou shalt not lie, anyway. So I just talked to them, talked like you did in your post, about black lies, grey lies, etc. I told them that I tell lies too, being that I get up in the morning and go to bed at night. I told them though that I try to lie as little as possible. If you lie too much, it just gets to labor-intensive to remember who you lied to, what you said, when you said it, etc. The truth is just more comfortable.

It is labor-intensive. I have two little boys, one just prime for lying age. He has not started yet, but I know it is coming soon. I too will explain to many dimensions of lying. I guess we all tell the occasional lie throughout the day. The truth really is more comfortable, for all involved.

Hey, I have heard many people lie right in front of me, even though I saw what clearly happened, they still lie and I hate when they do that. Personally I try not to lie, I can't even remember the last time I actually lied. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

I think honesty is the best policy for sure. It can be fun to watch a persons little lie spin out of control. A lie to cover a lie and before you know it the face is red and they are completely embarrassed. You would think it would be enough to make a person realize, but not in my line of work :)
