It is very strange to me that someone think the thing I have write about is a lie. when i knew about the thing, i think over it and i don't think there is no possibility to happen such a thing.I am a master student in a famous pharmaceutical uivisity.it is a common sense to us medical personnel that As2O3 has serious toxicity to our body.in ancient times in our country the law-executor will order the condemned criminal to eat a poison called PISHUANG in which the trivalent arsenic (As2O3)is the major ingredient.the vitamine C is a strong reducer as i know, so it is very possible for Vc to reduce the quinquevalent arsenic into a toxic As2O3. I tOOK down this just want more people to know this and to protect thire body from being hurt.AND this is the only reason. My aim is kind at least

I HAVE rea the article in that site you provided.It is a joke to me in fact.I can't help to laugh at the author's ignorance. my English is poor, but that don't mean my knowledge about medicine and chemistry is also poor! first, did you see this sentence "even this were true,it is only occurs under very specific or extraordinary circumstances."even the author can't eliminate the possibility, then how you can?? secondly, it is a fault that he did not know the relationship between pentavalent arsenic ,trivalent arsenic and the arsenic element. I did not mean the mixture of Vc and shrimp can product arsenic, the fact is the VC can make the pentavalent arsenic in the shrimp into trivalent, do you understand? arsenic may exist in the environment including the earth under river ,do you know the shrimp eat earth frequently? then how did you say it was impossible the shrimp include arsenic?

Search for it on the internet; snopes.com is not the only site that is reporting this as a hoax; I just find it the best written. I could not find one serious news site or official medical site referencing any cases of this actually happening. In fact there are conflicting reports, some saying it happened in Taiwan, others in Indonesia. And the only sites reporting this are those that accept any posts or emails from anyone regardless of their credentials, or lack of credentials. Yes, I know shellfish of all kinds have metal poisoning of many types, which is why one eats them in moderation. But where is the study that seriously proves the hypothesis that vitamin C increases the toxicity of any poison in any shell fish? Provide the source, from a REAL news or medical site, and then I will apologize for my lack of research skills. But then all this would have been unnecessary if that source was listed in the original post.
