Priority of a Christian

The Kingdom of God must be the priority of every christian in his/her life. She/He must be concern in keeping the KIngdom of God in his/her life. Whatever he/she does whether he /she is involved in a secular work , he/she must think how he/she can advance the Kingdom of God and maintain its power in his/her life. If we concern ourselves with God's business which is expanding His Kingdom by preaching the Gospel, God will also be concern with our business which are our basic needs as it is written : "and He will give you all your needs from day to day if you live for Him and make the KIngdom of God your primary concern." Matthew 6:33

In order to be a part of the Kingdom of God, you must accept Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and repent from your sins.

Here! Here! I totally agree, but I think christians need to keep in focus why we should be about the Lord's business and that is the saving of lost souls. Our pastor said last night that heaven is eternal... that is a long.... time. And this got me to thinking that there is eternity for another place too and many people we know and love will be spending their eternity in torment.

Mathew:5:17: Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Mathew:5:18: For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Mathew:5:19: Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mathew:5:20: For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Luke:11:20: But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Hi cristine! This is very true. I'm a christian and I always put God before anything else. I'm a member of the Church Of Christ, as a matter of fact. I'm hoping there are other church members on here besides me. Kathy.

Indeed. And we go about this by making it a priority to show love to everybody, just as God loves everybody. We will grow in our ability to love throughout our life.

A 'Kingdom' is a set of laws you wish to see fulfilled for your King. The Gospel is only the 'maidenhead' of the Kingdom of God (the pretty sculpture that leads the whole vessel, showing other pirates whether they ought to hop aboard). God's Reason is above/beyond Man's Reason ... i.e. we can't really "know" our purpose in the Kingdom of God, we can only "obey" and trust that our obedience is most-useful toward the expansion of the Kingdom. I'm sure Lord Jesus said something about 'a lamp not going under, but going high atop a table or a night-stand or a tower' ('Search the Web' for 'Jesus, lamp' or something). But Our Father has set me here on the ground, and here on the ground I obey---doing unto others as I would do unto myself, loving Our Father who art in Heaven, and being in His image.
