Don't worry, Amway is not a scam, but its one of the leading companies in the World. Amway produces some great products which is used world wide. They also have an affiliate programme like what you said. You can go ahead, its 100% legit. However there are some problems like sales. It's really interesting to hear, but its very difficult to get members. Ya you might be able to sell some, but getting member will be a hard task. It takes real hard work to get members below you & thousands of people quit the programme because they were fed up of not getting members. Amway is not a scam. I am not a member but I knew some people who does this business. They are pioneer company and one of the most successful companies in multilevel marketing industry. They sell good quality products too. You can visit their office and join with your friend if you want to know more. Some people called it scam or a bogus its because of other people who just use them for their referral. That is the bad side of this industry. It really depends on the people whom you work with. Check their marketing strategy, and how they handle people to be with their group. but the company itself it definitely not a scam.

Amway now is more real than ever.Amway started some 10 years back with about half a dozen products but now it markets over a hundred products. I will give an example of personal care one of the sub classes of products Amway sells. In personal care you start with nature shower hand wash,tooth brush,tooth paste,premium soaps,shaving cream,shaving foam,shaving razors,after shave moisturizer,after shave splash,hair cream,hair oil in two variants-coconut oil and amla oil..already about dozen in men's personal care. And we have skin,beauty,home,nutritional and non-core line products. In non-coreline section amway endorses some quality products from other brands sells under its flagship like jams,cornflakes,bed sheets,pillows,watches,mens wear,kitchen articles etc., But non-coreline products are available only once a year during spring. So the logic is simple-become a member,buy as many products under discount and ell them at MRP to others and retain the profit. Where is the question of pyramid or chain system here.. If you recruit people under you and train & motivate them to use products,retail products you as team leader will get some incentive over the gross business volume generated by your group of affiliates. Not to forget, AMWAY INDIA has proudly entered the INSURANCE sector and tied up with Max Newyork Life to sell insurance with attractive benefits to the customers.

We did Amway for a while. It is a legitimate business. They have an office here in Michigan actually. I like the products. They were high quality. The things I didn't like were some of the people and the prices. When you have a small income and a family, it is hard to justify the monthly expense, even if it is products you use. Some of the people are just so intense. They just won't take no and, I felt, that they taught you to be secretive about the whole business. I think that's why they have such a bad reputation.
