How much you can earn from captcha work in a single day?

I wonder if anyone do captcha for living. Because I tried it and found that earning from captcha work is very less. Company fixed the rate $1/per 1000 captcha or $0.70/per 1000. If you do 1500 captcha in a day than your earning will be $1.50 per day. If you want to earn $10 in a day than you have to type 10000 (ten thousand) captchas in a day! Impossible! Isn't it. Please share your experience.
