I would say that for poetry to be really good, it takes personal experience. I love writing, but unless I think back to my life and the things that have happened in it, I can not get the right words to form and the poem comes out worthless. I am sure that there are people in the world who can write without involving personal subjects, but the best poems come from the heart.

Poetry comes from the soul, not the mind. It's not about what you think; it's about feelings, emotions. You can't just imagine the scene; you have to be able to imagine the emotions; imagine how that scene makes you feel.

Friend,
I think,A good Poetry born from the feelings of that poet.We can't make a good poem only from imagination. At the same time its not possible only from the Feeling. When a poet express his feelings in an Imaginative way,it becomes a good Poetry.

I had made a love poem once because I had a big crush in one of my classmates in high school but the next day when I tried to compose another poem it turned out to be rubbish. For me being poetic is greatly influenced by experience and how you view life. I can be very poetic when I'm really in the mood but that really is an occasional thing.

Hey Eternus,
The topic you have raised is very interesting, and thought provoking.
I think you can write poetry, or you can feel poetry.
Poetry is more than words, its a medium is self expression, which can
reach out to hearts and souls.
You can learn, how to "Write" . The skill can me mastered, but it takes
more than that, I think.
It takes a depth of feeling, pure imagination and an intensity
of thought and awareness to really create something that can touch others.
Whether you are writing for yourself or you are willing to share, just
talent, I think, is not enough.
You have to put something else into words.
Something, that takes a lot of courage.
You have to put, yourself.

when a pen starts to dance in a widely spread curtain.,.. A poet starts revealing those that driving in..\
A poem then is formed in it and freely spilling
then when a thought of tales conspiring a lot..
A poetry doesn't just write what it sees
doesn't just express how the another speaks
but it do based on things that it experience and flow of situation that happen around..
