We ususally use car or bus for travel in my place.I had my first train journey at the age of 10. My Dad took my sister and I to a railway station just for the sake of having the experience of train journey. We travelled from one city to another city by train and when we got down we had food from a good resturant over there. We came back to home in a bus.

Ive never been on a train but would like to someday. I hate flying so maybe a train would be a better choice for me. Did you like the bus or train better? Ive only been on plane not a bus or a train.

Not in a bus or train till now? You have to go sometime to have an experience. I am not very fond of flying either. The only thing I like about flying is I can save a lot of time; it is expensive too. I prefer train journey compared to bus journey. I live in a busy city and there are lots of traffic block. So, if I plan to reach a place in 30 minutes and I go by bus, there is a chance that it may take one and half hours.
I prefer train for small and long journeys. The number one reason is there are no traffic blocks. I hate waiting in the traffic. I also prefer train for long trips because it is cheap and I can book a berth and sleep the whole night instead of just sitting in a bus. Also, long trip buses in my place don't have restroom facility which is available in trains.

I actually don't remember my first train experience. I should have been too young! The one i remember is when i was around 10 years and my mom/dad would tell me to count all the trees or posts that would pass us while travelling in a train :) - LOL such a stupid game :S

LOL. That is a trick parents play sometimes to keep the kids busy or engaged during the journey. It is really boring to just sit for long hours in a train. So, parents try to change the attention of the kids to something like this. I prefer train journey compared to bus journey. I don't have to worry about traffic block when I travel by train.

LOL it is but it was fun and i should say i used to take it very seriously . I think we have the same choice when it comes to traveling. I am from a family of people who have traveling sickness and most of us puke when we travel by bus/tempo/cab/any close vehicle. Train is very peaceful and also comfortable for me :)

My first (and last) train journey was when I was 21. Train hardly been used here. So my friends and I decided to ride it for fun. It was only half an hour journey but we still want to try. We waited for nearly two hours before the train arrived. For a first time experience, no one know whether a train supposed to be that late or not. When we saw it at the end of the line, everyone was thrilled. We only rode the third class. But still everyone was really enjoying it. I don't know whether I'll ride one again.

For me, train journey forms a part and parcel in my life. I used to goto school in local EMU train during my school days and right from my childhood I have travelled in train so many times. The first train journey i remember is being done by me in Alleppey express at the age of 7 when my father took me and my sister to Guruvayur. That's the first journey by train i remember. I have travelled in the local trains more than 2000 times till date:-)
