Has anyone cooked breakfast food for dinner? I've done it several times, its a big change at the dinner table. I like to be creative and this is a good way to get the kids to eat if they're picky.

We have breakfast for dinner a lot! We will eat sweet potato pancakes, and spinach fritata. Oh my gosh, it is so good. We are vegetarians now, but we use to eat all the other stuff for supper too like eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Now we are even more creative than what we were before.

Yeah, I like to do that sometimes. I often do that in the wintertime, becaue I like to make pancakes. I was trying to think of what to make for supper tomorrow, maybe I will do that. I could make some scrambled eggs and bacon. That sounds pretty good.

I have done all kinds of changes with food, depending on circunstances. I´m a grandmother now, but I remember once, when my kids were little, I was reading one of the best books I´ve read and I couln´t leave it. It was 100 years of solitude, by Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Márquez. I had salad, rice and steaks. At that time, my two daughters spent ages eating beef. So I took them to the kitchen and started to fry the steaks. I told them we would play they were little birds and momma bird would give them food in their mouths. So I cut a bit of steak and there were two hungry birdlets with their mouths open. They devoured the steaks in no time at all. I decided to skip the rice, sent them outside with a tomato each to eat with their own hands (no plate, no table manners ) and continued my reading. We were all happy and they still remember it even though they are both in their forties. With my grandchildren I invite them to cook together. But I understand mothers are too busy to do that often. It´s one of the best ways to have the little pests eat what´s good for them. Have a nice day!!!
