Are you proud of your university?

I am a Thomasian, circa __ forget it! And I just had a great day yesterday reminiscing the the good old college days with a classmate turned bff (best friends forever). The waiter at the restaurant where we dilly dallied politely asked if he could clean our table after a couple of hours, his way of telling our time is up. So we ordered another set of meals just so we could continue with our mushy talk. By and large, both of us are so proud being alumni of the royal, pontifical university called University of Santo Tomas. It is the oldest university this part of the world. Built 1611, is it older than Harvard? UST has no ivy walls but it has an arch of the century where freshmen parade through signifying the challenge the Dominican education had set before them. You don't pass through it again until you have completed your task on graduation day.

I am an avid fan of the volleyball team, and most definitely, the salinggawi! No offense to the other teams but the Tigers is just a class entirely Thomasian!

A bit busy, didn't get to watch yesterday. My daughters wanted to watch at the Araneta, hoping the iskolar ng bayan could bag the coveted crown two years in a row. Sigh, I guess it was not meant to be. But Oble had his year. Our Salinggawi didn't fare well, according to my elder daughter. So the Espana is also sad.
