In the current company that I am working right now, it compose of 300 employees. Starting October 1, they have to ramp down and have to deduct 150 employees due to crisis. The company are starting giving examninations and interviewing to the regular employees that will be out of the campaign or the department to be transferred in the other department. I am glad because I am not in the list, but in spite of that , I still do the online job, so in case of emergency situation,I will have money to use. What about you, has the economic crisis prompted you join moneymaking sites like mylot??Share your opinion.

Many has been affected with decision made by ciao. And i am one of them actually. If you are earning 50 dollars, I am getting 70 - 80 dollars a month in the site. It is really true that earnings here in mylot is not so big , but if you are going to be active here, you still get good earnings in the site. thanks for sharing your point of view!

I joined mylot almost 2 years before the recession started... and during that time i was looking for a job that is like for keeps... mylot is not actually a full time job... but staying here is quite fun... and the pay is an added bonus... and when the recession started... i found myself staying here more and more... especially when there is very little thing to do in the office...

"mylot is not actually a full time job... but staying here is quite fun... and the pay is an added bonus...", This is really true. I feel so relax every time I log in the site. Members are very friendly and very helpful. How I wish I can have my full time job here in mylot. But the problem is I still have my offline job.
"and when the recession started... i found myself staying here more and more..."I was also alarmed when recession came. I tried my best to double the time that I spent here in mylot. If it is my rest day, I tried to be online the whole day.

Yes, that's true. The very reason why I scrambled to find online moneymaking sites is because I needed additional income to sustain my monthly expenses. I only earned a very minimal income in my work place and there things I wanted to buy for myself and my family and because our country is not really that supportive when it comes to having sidelines, because maybe our economic situation is so bad that we have no option to work for more than one job, I really have to find another ways to earn for a living, moneymaking sites like myLot is perfect to all Filipinos.

"maybe our economic situation is so bad that we have no option to work for more than one job. ",With this, you don't have to say maybe, because our economic situation is really bad, the government is not doing any action to make our country on top or even in the middle class. Most of our government officials are corrupt. They just lo on their good or their own happiness. happy mylotting!

Hi there and smile.
Ill be honest to it, i started searching for more money making opportunities when the economic crisis hit me. Our company didnt do lay off though. But instead of that, they didnt make anniversary increase to our salaries. As a result, i was expecting that my salary will increase and that didnt happen. The salary is still small but bills keep on increasing. Bills like rental, electric, water keep on increasing. My salary cant cover all expenses including my allowances. I need to maximize my earning potential i told to myself. I started it with selling used clothes. But i did it online. A friend told me that i can earn online so i tried this site. Till now im still year. Im going to celebrate my 1 year anniversary here in mylot december 2009. Its great.
Happy mylotting and smile always.

As of this moment, it is really hard to search for a new job. Many companies has close due to recession. For the meantime, while looking for a new job, you can make yourself busy in working online, even the earnings is not that big, still it adds up to your online earnings. just have focus. Stay on the site that really pays like here in mylot. Do not be afraid to explore, just make it sure that the site that you are joining is a legitimate one. thanks for sharing.have a great day!

It wasn't the economic crisis that prompted me to join myLot as I was already workng at the time. However the ecnomic crisis has allowed me to have more hours here as I lost a job I had after I joined. I now have another one and the hours that I work there allow me to be here a lot.
My earnings here though have always been kept seperate from my offline earnings in the hope that I will be able to fund a visit to my sister in US entirely with 'extra' earnings from online ventures all done in spare time like a hobby. I used to watch a lot more television before I joined and that was not earning me anything

I had joined mylot much before this economic crisis had started but to be frank I didn't devote as much time here as I was rather fond of writing websites like ciao and Helium. But after the economic crisis many reputed websites started shutting off international members and now I really know the worth of myLot. Thanks to websites like myLot and neobux I have some extra pocket money every month no matter how small it is.

The economic crisis has made me look for opportunities wherever i can find.Mylot interests me for the quality of discussion than the amount of money earned.I'm badly affected due to economic crisis as my main source of income is from real estate which is the hardest hit.I have a steady source of income from certain investments made during good times. But i'm keeping my fingers crossed for the real estate market to pick up as i can dispose lands and invest in a project which promises good returns.

Not really, I am just lucky because I have friends who introduce me to earning sites which at first I was hesitant to join to. But after seeing them really earning a sideline job then I get used to it and become addict to it. I saw potential incomes that can help sustain my luxury in life and after a while I became seriuos in looking for extra income. Now I have very few and I am happy that somehow it helped me in my daily living.

It is good to hear you have tried online earning. there are some people whom I invited but refuse to accept the offer. they even say that, I am just wasting their precious time. Now that I am already earning, they are pleasing me to tell the sites that I belong. I always bear in my mind that "there is no harms in trying, those who always take the risk, succeed in the different field." It is very important that we explore, thanks for sharing!

well not actually economic crisis but i joined money making sites like mylot to stand on my own i mean i want to be self sufficient and want to spend like i want. i don't want anyone else to guide me for what i have to buy and for what i have to wear. so the main reason for joining these sites is to earn and be self sufficient.

Nope. I just swung by MyLot to earn a handful of extra cash on the side: Pocket Money if you will.
I am incredibly greatful that my job is (currently) stable, and I wish everybody who has been made umemployed by the recent downfall of the economy all the very best in the future, and I hope they find new employment in the end. I can't even begin to imagine how awful it must be to be without a job when there a bills to be paid and families to feed.

Actually, yes, it did.
I did not lose my job but I lost a lot of contracts that could've gotten me a lot of money. I am doing this for "extras on the side" so that regardless of whatever happens, (you never know), at least there is a "little" money somewhere.

At the time I complete my degree there was economic crisis, and I was fed up with searching jobs. At that time I was thinking to earn part time through online, and searching for some genuine sites, at that time I came to know about sites like Mylot through my friend... But now I've joined a job and still continuing sites like Mylot

Well, I have been a member of myLot now for almost 3 yrs. which is before a lot of this Economic hardship and crunch started, and I have been also doing other things online for quite a while as well. Personally it is quite hard to earn enough to ever replace what I make from working, but the months I make something extra it is helpful for Emergencies, Birthday and Christmas presents, etc. Plus it makes being online a little more furtile if you're earning a little extra to help as well.

That's a very good way of looking at things. I consider online earnings as something that will save me for a 'rainy day'. Every penny helps and I will not look away from it; but not sounding like the miser though, LOL.. what I mean in depth is like even with a site like mylot, with small incentives every now and then and aplenty of fun, I still appreciate it as though I'm earning like 3k or what, LOL. I'll leave the bigger earnings to the real job.
But what I mean to say is that, we can't just rely on one thing to churn us money. So I've been thinking of ways to use the little bit of talent I have which is writing. I've been blogging, writing for article sites to enjoy some bits of more incentives along the way. These are little ways of me being proactive towards the recession period. Good talking, rberon..

Hello Rberon. I think it has played a role in the amount of participation I try to put into a few sites, but they are sites I belonged to before the economic crisis became full blown.
Interesting question!

Hi friend,
During the world econimic crisis, recession can be observe anywhere, of course including China. In the past year, i have heard a lot news about layoffs. As to me, it would be terrible, if i lost my job. I have to support myself and my house load. And i am trying to work hard every day to keep my job.
It is fortunate to catch that things have changed better, at least in our courtry. I have some signs of economy recovery in China, such as the increasing job opportunity, the increasing real estate price. I am glad to see that. Do you catch any signs in your courtry.
Happy mylotting!

I was made redundant last year and although I have tried, there are very few jobs on the ground so I am just working part-time now, and supplementing my earnings with a few online ventures like Mylot. I wish I had discovered sites like these back when I had a full-time job as I coul have done this anyway and have a little nest egg saved up by now. You are very wise to plan ahead like that, I wish I had done so.
