Can someone please help me?

I have to write an essay for my college english class and I need help to find a topic to write about. It has to be a compare/contrast essay and I'm having trouble thinking up a topic. It can be anything I choose but nothing that will offend anyone. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I would really appreciate it.

How about women's rights in USA compared to Afghanistan or some other middle east countries ? Or Religions . Or the economy of 2 countries . Or different Cultures . I dunno, those were SOME ideas (:

Compare / contrast? How about you write about internet and compare it with the old days. Is it the correct topic for compare/contrast? I have been passed college a long time ago

Thank you, this topic sounds good, especially since we have to turn it in through the internet. Its not even an online class.
