earthquaaaake!!!

Yeah, there was an earthquake in our area at around 3am last Friday. It wasn't really strong, they say it's just aftershocks of another earthquake in another town. I felt it though, but no concrete cracking or anything. It just shook for bit. And as for me, I was in, of all places, the bathroom. I was sitting on the commode when it happened. It was so weird, and just a little bit scary. I sat out the earthquake on the "throne". The last time I felt an earthquake, I was was in bed, and I was awakened by it. I was just about to sleep, and my sister was out in the living room watching TV. The earthquake woke my mom up and so she got up and got mad at us for staying up until "4", though it was only 3am. LOL! Have you experienced an earthquake before? Where were you and what were you doing then? And were you scared?

Hi mymelodake, The place I am living is also received minor quakes when it happened strongly in some other places. I think we felt the same lastly when there was a strong earthquake in Kashmir and Pakistan. Many got killed on that quake in these places. People are yet to recover the shock and the devastation. I am glad that you are safe except the scare.

I experienced some though earthquakes are rare in my country. I was in bed that time. I was a little scared then. I now work in the same field where research in earthquakes is a primary one. When such things happen people come to me for advice and I really enjoy giving such advice for free.
