You should ask your father to support you.. haha4
My mom doesn't like dog either, but my father and my sister like it and we decided to take a dog in to our family...
But my mom never want to touch the dog and feed it... But she cares about it, but didn't want to touch.. haha4
Keep clean and bathing your dog routines is better to make my mother not angry.. ^^
It's work for me.. ^^

This is an easy one for u and for me to answer. Tell your mom u r going to get a dog that doesn't shed it's fur and is hypo alergynic and will give it a bath anytime she wants it to.. I am not, not saying this to be mean, but when u say u will give it a bath do it and she will be on your side not against u.
The type of dog to buy is a poodle , poodle mix breed, shitzu, Mini schnauzer, or anything mini. Some may shed their fur but u can brush or comb them out ever day, they r small enough they can't say no..
REMEMBER ALWAYS LUV/ CARE FOR YOUR DOG/ PET, THEY WILL ALWAYS LUV U..

In order to keep peace in your household I would suggest you wait until you are old enough to move out. When you have your own place you can get whatever pet you want. I have a dog and two cats and they are a lot of work and expense, but worth it to me.

I used to have a dog before...Well, actually I am quite a pet lover in fact but I had to leave my dog since I had to transfer to another school. I do suggest that you think about the different possibilities when you actually have a dog. First thing you must think about is whether or not you can take good care of the dog. Second, think whether you can face the responsibilities in taking care of a dog. Third since your mom is complaining that a dog is dirty, think whether or not you can be patient enough to train the dog to be clean(Yeah, you can do that with enough time.). Lastly, Think whether or not you can give the dog your time and remember it may take up more time than you think. 1-2 hours a day is not enough. And one more thing, dogs aren't pets. they are family members. Treat them with care and they'll treat you the same or maybe even better(I mean it). They can be rowdy at first but in due time, they'll soften up.
Well, hope that helped~! Good Luck too! :)
