Are You Happy with Your Name?

For a long time now, I've been extremely unsatisfied with what my parents decided to name me. All my life, I've had this name that I feel uncomfortable with using, and have been determined to change it. Unfortunately, although I've discussed this with my parents, and they claim they are fine about this, deep down inside, I know they are probably devastated. After all, this is the name they have memories asscoiated with, recognize me by, and gave me at birth.
I ask you fellow MyLotters, are you satisfied with your real name? Have you ever thought about, or even took the appropriate steps in legally changing it? How would your parents re-act if you were in the situation I am currently in?

In China, Chinese children name are decided by their parents. At age of 18, they can decided their name but there are a lot of difficulty if they change their name.
