Being a nurse, I had seen more than my share of teens and men coming into the hospital for circumcisions due to chronic infections or because the skin was so tight that it was causing pain, swelling and more serious issues. Believe me, they suffer a lot more having it done when they are older. I decided then and there that, if I had boys, they'd have it done. Well, I have two boys and they both were circumcised.

We did too. My husband insisted on it and I didn't mind either way. I didn't like taking care of his ouchie though... I had my husband change his diapers during that time until he healed! ;) I don't like seeing my son in pain or crying..

It's a good thing to circumcise you baby boys. My boys were taken care of as an infant. It was so hard to let the doctor do it, but I feel strongly about it being important. My nephew wasn't circumcised and he seemed to get infections and have problems because he wasn't able to keep it clean enough when he was younger. Of course, now he has no problems.

It was hard to let the doctor do it. I didn't know little ones could get infections from not being cirumcised.

Yes I had my son done. I had a girl the second time but would have done it again if she had been a boy. Its cleaner and easier for young boys to keep clean when they are circumsised. The STD rate in men that are circumsised is lower than in those that are not.

I had all of my boys circumcised, and would make the same decision today.

sure Both my boys were. My sister in law didn't have her boy circumcised and later her middle boy had to have it done as he got older It hurt him worse then if she would have had it done at birth

Both of my boys are circumcised. My husband is and we did not want our boys growing up thinking that looked different from their dad.

I didn't want to either, but my husband said we should so we did our first son, and being he had it done I did my other 2 sons too. I didn't think it would be good if they looked different.

I circumsised my baby boy... I felt horrible doing it to him after he had already been through so much with the birth and being such a small defenseless guy but it prevents some diseases (I read it in the pamphlet that they gave me in the hospital) and I don't want my son to be the only one in the locker room that wasn't .. you know? You did the right thing, I think.

I had both my boys circumsized. One reason was so they would look their father down their and there would be not so many questions. The other reason was because of the high infection rate a male can get from not being circumsized.I know some people don't get it done because of religious reasons.

If I have a boy, I will definitely circumsize him. I have heard many down falls to not circumsizing, which includes infection.

We did as well. I made the young nurse take my son down because I couldn't even bear the thought of having to be there. She was wonderful and took him down and brought him right back up. My hubby was suppose to do it...but the appointment got changed and he wasn't able to make it there in time. Thank god for that nurse!
