So what is your "drinking music"? For me I love to listen to classic country music. No it's not so I can cry over the sad songs but because I love to reminisce about my younger days. I grew up on classic country and now that my parents are gone I like to drink and listen to our old favorites.

when I'm drinking, I love to listen to rock music, and most of the time, if I want to drink, my purpose is to be drunk, not for relaxation.

Well to each their own . I used to drink to get drunk but with my daughter's special needs I only drink to relax and take the edge off of a long week or something like that.

I like anything relaxing not a fast up beat type music. I think it depends on the situation your in at the time. I usually have a drink to relax not a drink to be able to party so i guess its different for different people

It's kinda natural to listen to old favorites when having a couple of drinks. You do it sort of unconsciously and it keeps on happening, so I get you there. As for me, while drinking I prefer to listen to songs that have lyrics about getting drunk, to enpower my drinking fest even more or then again electronica songs so I can dance pathetically withouth having to care about it :D

Yes drinking songs about drinking while drinking is very cool. Hard to understand while sober but while drinking diffidently fuels the fire so to speak. I have never been into techno or electronica type music but may try it out just to see how it would be.

Well, if I am in a bar I like both country music and old rock. I love to dance but since I am disabled I can`t unless I drink enough to not feel the pain lol. At home I really don`t drink much. Well for that matter I don`t go to bars much either lol. But its the same I like both.

Angie, If you are only 29, what younger days are you talking about?LOL Just kidding sweetie. I love Classic Country Music. But if I have the radio on for music and not radio talk shows, I really enjoy Classic rock and anything from the 60's, 70's, & 80's. The Classic Country Music reminds me of the days after my my ex and I split. My Son was only 4 and he loved Country music and would sing along with it & me in the car. I think the best times in my life were when my boy and me were alone experiencing life as it came along. Now those were the good old days. Big Hugsss leenie

Younger years as in when I was a kid and teenager . It did sound kind of funny huh? My daughter loves country too,she used to sing "take this job and shove it" all the time when she was 2. Now she listens to rock music thanks to my husband.

Angie, My Son Matthew was 2 when he started singing to the music. He surprised me one night while camping with my family and we were coming back from the restrooms, as I was carrying him on my shoulders and he busted out singing, "On The Road Again". He was such a little entertainer. Still is at 29.

Same here! Some songs weren't all that popular back in the day but I can remember them word for word. It is nice to sit back and enjoy fond memorizes.

Yes exactly! It does not mean we wish to weep over the past, only to look back at it. We can learn so much from looking back as long as we move forward.

Hello Yes it is, every now and then we need to just reflect back to our life and think about how things have changed, I love to do this, some people look at me like oh please get over it, but its not about that, this does not mean we are hurting over someone, just thinking about life in general I love it, glad you do as well, next time one of my associates tell me to get over it, I will tell them they need to get with it lol may help them do things differently lol Thank you.

Yes this is true, love music can be very calming. But if you just broke up with someone and you are drinking then that might not be the best choice.
