Most of the people after there parents give importance to their grandparents. But i what to know whom do you like maternal grandparents or paternal grandparents? I know both are important but one must be very close to your heart. I love my paternal grandfather and still think of him even though he is know more.So what is your opinion?

i too love my paternal grandfather the most... being his very 1st grandchild, i have the upper hand in his attention and love... i always remember him asking me things i want , then he would buy... when i got low grades he wont scold me but just talk to me.. when i got sick, he would be very worried and always ask if I'm feeling better.. with regards to birthdays and christmas it would be a blast with the gifts showering.. talking about daddy (my grandfather) makes me miss him more specially christmas is fast approaching.. oh how i wish he is still here with me.. i lost daddy 5 years ago... still miss him terribly..well... till we meet again dad.. ^_^

Unfortuntely I do not love any neither my maternal grandparents or Paternal grandparents. Why because neither of them shown any interest in me or ever felt missing me. My fathers parents use to be in my home but never taught me anything, my grandfather have lot knowledge but never took interest in educating me. So, no hard feelings but I am one of those unfortunate person who did not get love from my grandparents.. No regrets..

I honestly am unable to choose between my maternal grandparents and my paternal grandparents. I knew both my grandmother and my grandfather on my mother's side but on my father's side I only knew my grandmother. I loved all of them as much as I possibly could. My paternal grandmother had 16 grandchildren, but she loved us all in every way that was possible. She spoiled us all to the best of her ability. As far as my maternal grandparents, they only had seven grandchildren but sometimes seemed like they were standoffish towards us. By the time I was 15 years old, I only had my maternal grandmother left and to say that she drove me up the wall at times would be an understatement. She, however, did live with us in the last months of her life and for those memories I am especially fond because she was a different person than I'd ever known.
