Do you rate people who respond to your discussions?

Hi bubblepink, I either rate people with a + or if they haven't contributed anything to the discussion then I leave it. I don't use the - button as it affects peoples ratings much more quickly than a + does and also if one rates someone negatively it also has a negative effect on ourselves too. So if someone responds even with an opposite opinion then it is best to give them a positive. As well as this we should also take the time to go back and give out best responses as this brings a smile to someone.

Hello bubblepink, To answer your question yes I do Rate the people who respond to my discussions not only my discussions but everyone else as well.. I rate pictures and almost every thing that can be rated on mylot. I'm use to it and it's a habit I guess if you want to put it this way .. but yeah,, I'm BACK.

Oh, go ahead and plus this reply then :P Well, I usually rate those answers that I feel worthy, either of positive rating or negative rating. Otherwise I just leave them be and don't waste my time.

I almost always rate the responses of those that reply to my discussions as well as some of the responses on discussions I comment on. I do not rate responses that are not that helpful, though if they are totally off topic or spam I occasionally will give them a negative.

bubblepink hi oh yes I love to plus everybody as mylot itself urges us to do as it helps they claim to raise our ratings. so I really do just hit the plus sign for everyone unless someone has insulted meand I may hit minus for that person but v ery rarely do i do that.

I do, absolutely. I also rate those that users that respond to other discusions. I just love rating people and so that is why I do it. I don't usually give negatie ratings as we are all trying to get good ratings. I just basically give negative ratings to those that post referral links in the discussion. Also if someone is nasty they would ge a negative, but fortunately, I haven't had that problem and I am glad. I feel that if they are going to take the time to respond, then I am going to take the time to rate them. I will give positive raings for good quality posts, and those that aren't, I won't rate them at all. I think we all need to use the rating system the way it was meant to be used. i always rate up responses this is the good thing which we must always do.this helps mylot to filter out different discussions which can be not related to my discussions. also you must always mark the best responses for your discussions this adds up good impression on you from other mylot users.

Dear bubblepink, All I know is when we rate someone positive.. it helps the responder overall myLot rating and ours too! So, it is a Win-Win situation. It is also good for us to mark the Best Response (be given to the most appropriate response to your discussion as a token of appreciation for their effort). This will encourage fellow myLotters. YES, do give fellow myLotters the 'positive rating' whenever their responses relevant to your topic of discussion. It is truly a Win-Win situation and really encourage one another. I keep discussing, responding, commenting on responses, give rating and award the 'BR' to the most deserve response for their contribution and effort. yes i rate them but not all, it depends to the quality of answer though i didnt give negative rate for them as they also try their best to comments in the discussion. i respect every comments in my discussions and i didnt took it seriously of personally though some used to be like that but then its their loss not mine. happy mylotting

I've been a member of Mylot for a few days and today I noticed I have been forgetting to rate. Ooops! I've been trying to catch up today. I am going to be generous with ratings, but especially to those whose comments are relevant and contribute to the discussion.
