Of the actual date, nobody could tell exactly when will the rapture happen. But definitely it is imminent in our time for we are in the period of time known as the "endtimes." The period of the "endtimes" started in 1948, the year when Israel is restored as a nation. One generation from 1948 is considered as the "endtimes" based on the parable of the figtree Jesus told on Matthew 24:32-34 :"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened". The "fig tree" refers to the nation Israel. Now for how long will a generation last ? A generation may last for about seventy years to about 100 years, so the Endtimes period is about 1948 to 2048. The earliest possible date the rapture could happen is about 2011. Why I said so, the year 2018 is exactly 70 years from 1948, subtracting seven years from that to give allowance for the tribulation period is the year 2011. But rapture may still go beyond this year. The Lord may still tarry. NObody really knows the exact date.

Surely, you're right. Only God knows when the rapture will take place but we must be prepared all the time. The Lord says in His word that we must keep watch everytime. The signs of the times that Jesus mentions in the bible have already been happening today like earthquake (more frequent nowadays than in the past and more terrible and intensed), pestilence (various and unknown disease epidemics like sars, H1-N1, AIDS, brid flu, food and mouth disease, etc. are becoming prevalent and widespread -- they are unknown before), famine (in africa and asia are widespread), forest fires in parts of Australia, drought, etc., increased knowledge in the last days were prophesied in Daniel (modern technology, microchips, computers, are just some) and most especially, Jesus prophesied of the many Christians' love would grow cold in the last days as we can see now. Many Christians are backsliding, yet the good thing is, the Gospel shall be preached to all the world and then shall the end come. Through the means of modern technology, the Gospel today have been reaching remote parts of the world, and people who have not heard about Jesus are hearing about Him in those remote areas. Praise the Lord.
Come Lord Jesus, come.
