Here the law is the owner is responsible for their pet does. It's a law the owner has to control their pet because of corse they would be responsible for all damages caused by it.

It depends on the circumstances. If they attack a person or pet on your property, then no. That's their territory and they are defending it. If they are attacked by another pet, or are lashing out at a person because that person has hurt them, then I don't think the owner should be liable for that, either. However, if your dog gets out of your yard and hurts another animal or person, the owner should be responsible for that. Aggression is usually a symptom of another problem. In many cases, it's a symptom of poor socialization. Some dogs growl and try to harm other dogs because they are nervous and don't know how to react to the stranger. This can be trained out of a dog with some effort - or prevented entirely by simply giving them chances to meet and greet new faces from day one. It's your job as the pet owner to keep your animal under control, so if they attack someone or something for no reason, it's on you.

it depends on what caused the attack. if pet is just agressive, then it's owner or ex owner or anyone else who spends a lot of time with the pet, but if attack was provoced, then it's clearly not the owner. My cats for example were abused when they were little by their old owners and they were very agressive at first, it wasn't our fault, we didn't make them agressive. And it's not cat's fault ether, they simply got too much trauma and didn't trust people. we managed to show them that people can be trusted, and now they are the sweetest cats in the world. On the other hand there was a dog next door, very nice dog, very sweet, but one boy kept on torturing it, every time he would pass by he would throw things at the dog. Owners told him many times to stop, he didn't listen, so one day the dog had enough and after the boy threw a rock at the dog, dog attacked (wouldn't most people do the same thing as this dog? i know i would). I think it was the boy and his parents who were at fault, but it was the dog who got put to sleep. It's not always black and white, there ar many things that can provoke an animal.

You are responsible for the care and proper training and restraining of your pet. If your pet is being is being attacked then no. It is the other persons fault. If they will admit that they started it it is another story. Your pet will probably still be blamed.

pet owners should be responsible to train their pets.pets should only attack when the family is threatened.pet owners are just the same as parents.they have to be responsible for shaping up their children's future.same as with pet owners, they are responsible for their pets' behavior.

I honestly believe yes. Pet owners should be held responsible for the actions of their pets as well.
