Money does buy happiness.Believe it or not.
I've read some of your discussions' responses, and I have to wonder their income level.
If you don't have money for the basic needs in life, you will not be happy. Try getting a loaf of bread without any money. Try going to the doctor without any money. Try filling a prescription without money. Try filling your gas tank without any money, or try having your car fixed. Try staying in your apartment or, house without any money. Try keeping your lights and gas on without any money.
Do you think your family and friends will constantly help you? Think again. Don't think your church will save you either. I was a church member and, was dropped from membership because I could not afford to pay my tithe.
As for that relationship you're in... Guys, do you think she would give you the time of day if you had no job or couldn't take her out? Ladies, don't get your hair cut, nails fixed, and start wearing clothes with holes in them. See if you get ask out. Money is happiness and, happiness is money!

Although money can help, it doesnt mean you will be happy. There are a lot of lonely rich people that work their life away and have no true friends. You could have nothing and still be as happy as anyone else.

Money will not buy you happiness but it certainly will buy a lot of convenience. Obtaining prosperity is not about what you are willing to do to gain it, more importantly, it is about what you are willing to give up in exchange for it.

I don't think that money is the sole key to happiness. I do think, though, that it is a contributing factor. In my experiences, I am always slightly happier when my bills are paid and I am not worrying about my finances. Not because I can buy more, or go out more, but because I don't have that seed of worry constantly on my mind.

It is true that money is important in our life and more money can makes us feel happy. But there is also a problem when a person have lots of money but busy with their life. They just dont have the time to enjoy life or enjoy their money.the better is live a simple stable life, have the time to enjoy life and not worrying about money.Money is not happiness it is just addition to have a happy life.

Yes for me now more money means more happiness. I lack of money now. I need to buy a house , a car and need to have more money to raise my boy. With more money we can arrange many pleasant and nice programs with our kids and with our friends during the weekends. With more money we can improve our life quality indeed. I don't know what money means to others but for me at least now the more the better.

hello Chester04,
not really for money can't buy everything not even love.
i may not have a perfect family, but we are happy. what's important is that we are intact, have a good health and we have each another. not to mention some true friends around and relatives. one more thing, peace of mind.

That is very true more money equals more happiness since you need money to be happy now of these days. I know when I dont have any money I get very depressed since im bored and wish I had money so I can go out and have some fun which you need money for. And I do wish I had more money I know I would have a better time and more fun time.

I find that when I don't have much money, I'm still rather happy. I think this is because when my financial situation is not that great, it helps me to focus on the really important things in life, like my family and friends. Those are the two main things in life that keep me going, not the amount of money in my purse or bank account.

Money is makes us happy temporarily but it can't give us permanent happiness. Money can complicate our life too it also bring us problems. Yes I agree that some rich people also stressed about their fortune they can't enjoy life like farmer does.

yes i do believe but some rich people also believe more money more problem, i am not talking about puff daddy's song now, i mean some rich people do believe that they will have more problems controlling their wealth and their lives may be in danger because of their wealth

it does not necessarily follow. although we see wealthy people who are happy, we also see happy people who are poor.
we can live comfortable lives with money but it is not an assurance to being happy.
there are surely things that money cannot buy and that should be a very unhappy thing for the rich.

For me money is not the only means to bring the happiness in our life..Yes people earning more money are so busy that they just cant live with joy.It is right that money fulfills all the demand of humans but a rich person is not much happy because he fears if someone robs him..so the money is not the only means for happiness...

Money is not always the answer to our happiness. You can buy anything you want except friends. Everything you bought will worn out but not real friends. When you have more more money, you can have the fame, pride, power and authority over others. But money can also destroy your reputation, respect, love and care from others. Money can make you evil. Do not let money be the center of your life.

No...no...and no! Peace of mind brings happiness and you don't necessarily get more of that if you have more money. My husband and I walked away from quite a large income, sold our house and moved to south Florida where the pace of life is slower, the people are nicer, the weather is great and family is nearby. We are so much happier here and, what we have money cannot buy.

Well some money-makers do say that those who think money can't buy happiness don't know where to do shopping from!
Sounds very cheeky and smart, but the question is how much can we buy? And will we ever be contented? I guess not. Money does help a person grow as a social human being so that he/she can fulfill his/her needs and wants, materialistic needs and wants I mean. Sometimes emotions and feelings are also related to money but majority of the times peace of mind, simplicity and happiness is what the mind needs than uninterrupted connectivity, complexity and stress.

I think you need money up to some extent. You need to have your basics covered. Food, health, studies, clothes. The rest is luxury and it´s incredible the percentage of people in this world that do not have what we take for granted.
There are children dying of hunger and ailments we don´t know about in many places. There are a lot of people in this world who are not lucky enough as to have learned how to read. There are people that die in the winter from hypothermia (they don´t have the clothes they should and their body is not equiped with enough fat to help (fat that other people could give away).
I am blessed to have enough to live a decent (not rich) life. I´m happy to be able to appreciate what I have. My happiness is mostly made of relations with wonderful people. Some of them have blood ties with me, others are what I call my personal guardian angels.
Happy posting!!!

In a nutshell; As many of my fellow MyLotters have said, money will get you all that you want, but it won't fill in the happiness of "peace of mind", which is where pure humble tranquility will proceed from. Simply bliss, now this is happiness :)

In my opinion more money does not mean more happiness. Take for example Michael Jackson, he had money and fame but he was not happy. Happiness is an emotion that money can not buy. We see this every day all over the world where people who have money are during some of the most immoral things trying to find happiness. Do not get me wrong neither does being poor and living in poverty bring you happiness. Happiness is a hugh state of mind. We have to learn to be thankful and grateful in all situations.

Money has the advantage to make you happy. There are, however, rich people who arent really happy. They may be financially satisfied but there is still emptiness within.
For me, having peace of mind is happiness.
