Well people get long time holidays at the time of national festival..In my country, Dashain is the national festival and people have 12 to 15 days holidays.It is celebrated by putting the 'Tika' on the foreheads by the elder member of the family..And animals are sacrificed to the god hoping that the god may fulfill their wishes..So what's your national festival...
