Can you still stand the whole night waking up?

When I was a little younger one of our favorite event with my friends was during waking up the whole night with someone's wake. Why? it is because it was there that you could see lots of beautiful ladies, lots of foods, and even your girlfriend or boyfriend might be there also. Some we came up of thinking and wishing to have another of our neighbors next to die so our every night's wake continues. Yes that's right because it is one of the cultures in my country. Waking up the whole morning without even just a nap. Now I can't do it anymore for some reasons. Few of those are: No time to see anymore those would be beautiful ladies going, No more girlfriend or boyfriend to meet there because of course you are already married. The worst and disgusting to hear is , you are already matured to stand the whole morning without sleeping. How about you guys are with me or against to it?

as long as the event will not be boring to stand the whole night awake i can do that. but i can't do that though every night cause i don't like staying whole night awake cause i feel that i need to sleep normally. it takes a toll on my health being awake the whole night. but i can do that too if only i don't care for my health. but since my health is so much important to me i will not do that. it is not not for older foks but even for younger ones that it is advisable not to stay awake the whole night.

I had some nights waking up when I was in my university.I remembered my first time spending the night at a netclub with my roommates.Everyone was so excited playing online games together without any feeling to sleep. That was the real night waking up.The latter times we spent the time at netclub,it's not real whole night waking up,we all slept for some time during mid-night when we all could not keep our eyes open//...lol..

We need sleep to get refreshed. I read recently, actually for different hours at night, our respective organs get rid of their toxic elements. No matter how young you are, and how strong you are, sleepless nights will soon make a big change of you, with quick deteriation of the immune system, to be followed by various tempering signs on the appearance as well as illness in due time.

Hi mobhomeir, I have this strange thing - if u asked me to stay up the whole night, I wouldnt be able to do it, but if nobody asked it of me, I would definitely manage it. :) I mean, I feel sleepy when I am not supposed to! , and am quite comfortable not sleeping when nobody is monitoring that.

yes, in the past i have experienced that too. we usually can stand waking up till it is morning during wakes. there are lots of card games or "mahjong" and lots of coffee and refreshments to keep everyone awake. i can still stand awake the whole night till morning, depending on the particular enjoyable event i am in and i enjoy it not to notice the time.

Somehow I still could but that depends on whether I've got something to do or not. Or if I have enough supply of smoke to last me the whole day. One more thing, I'm actually a night person, I never was a morning person that's why I had a bit of trouble going to work back then. Though it still depends because when I found a 7-3 job, I had to be responsible enough so I had to sleep early. I ended up resetting my body clock and get sleepy early in the evening unlike before. My best record so far was about three days of keeping awake without much as a few blinks. I really felt the effect on my body by the halfway mark. It felt like floating, not really delirious but reflex response slows down. And my oh my, I was able to sleep a whole 16-24 hours straight after that. Phew!

Oh yeah, it really becomes a nightmare when you could feel the exhaustion bearing on your body but you had to fight it off. I mean you're already tired from not having any sleep and fighting to stay awake adds up. Well, thanks to having such a lifestyle as keeping awake for long hours at night way back when I was a student that got me used to it. But recently, there was a time I had a shifting schedule from a 7-3 to graveyard and it took me about 3 days to fully adjust. I had a nasty cold all 3 days but made well quickly. How amazing the human body is. Heh heh.

Sure I did that when I was a young teenager, don't know if I could do it any more now that I am all grown up, and I don't know if I would like to, I really like sleeping. We stayed up until 3:00 in the morning playing cards recently that is the latest I have stayed up in a long time. When we were all young married adults and before we had kids we would play until the sun rose, and then we would go out to breakfast, then we would normally go home and sleep, but now that we have kids that is not such a great thing to do.

We don't have all night wakes in our culture, but I have noticed that as I get older it is harder to stay up late and much less appealing. I can really only do it if I have to work, not just to hang out.

Well, I do go to wakes. Unless I am required by customs to stay awake, the whole night, I do show up at the wake, do my needful in terms of paying my last respects an then I go home to sleep. No, I cannot recall having fun at wakes. Wakes are solemn occasions and we should give due respect to the occasion.
