I know, it's still rainy season and this the least we can think of these days, not to mention the not-so-good economy...but face it we are fond of happenings like these...especially when we get to be with out family and friends around us on vacation. So tell me, what's you favorite vacation spot? Mine is just an island in Bagak, Bataan, just very near Manila and you'll find that crystal clear water, flying fish, seahorse, crabs, jelly fish, the sun, and the very delicious food!

My favorite vacation spot here in the Philippines is Tagaytay. I've been there a number of times and still loving the place. Its just like an hour and a half from Manila so you could go there anytime you want. And if you are on a tight budget Tagaytay is a nice place to be. You can also make stop over to Sonia's Garden where they offer nicest place to stay and the ambiance is just amazing. They have thousands of different kinds of flowers, butterflies are just around the corner and the place got the nicest spa in town. From there you can stop by to Taal Lake and appreciate the beauty of our nature. :)

We are very near in Tagaytay I been there many times. Bagac from what I know it is the setting of Filipino version of Zorro yes it is a great place and they also have white sands. My favorite place so far is Iloilo and Bacolod. I like to have a vacation there again if every I have money. The seafood in Iloilo is very cheap and the cost of living is not that expensive it is ideal to place to live at because of the fresh air and food.

Hi, idaantipolo My favorite vacation spot is Boracay. I love Boracay because, even if it has become crowded, everybody there is in vacation mode like me. I also love Bohol because everybody is nice there. I have not heard of Bagak, Bataan until now. But I would love to visit Bataan soon. Take care and have a nice day!

Hi, Rainegurl...nice of you to respond! Oh you should come and visit Bagak, if you are just from Manila or other place near Manila, well it is just 2-3 hour drive. The fun thing is, the boat ride to the Island especially on summer when you get to see flying fish, seahorse...and the oh so clear water...oh I wish it summer already!

I always love going back to Vigan, Ilocos Sur. Very nice place specially when I want to retreat myself. Very relaxing twist of heritage times. From the road trip you will take until the arrival at the place makes you totally unwind.

Yup, I heard that Vigan is a great place, too. Aside from the beach, you can get to have a look at the past. I believe that they preserved the way it used to be in the Spanish Colonization there. Thanks extendcradle for responding!

I haven't been to many places here in the Philippines. But I'm lloking forward to explore our country. As for now, the place I want is Cebu. I lived there for two years. And it was awesome. There are many beutiful places and the breeze is so gentle. The place is calming. You'll appreciate the nature there and the historic things that happened there. No wonder there are so many tourists in cebu.

I am very fortunate to have a husband who is a wanderer. His previous job requires him to travel to different places in the Philippines. He sees to it that we get to explore the country once a year. I had been to Baguio, Vigan, Laoag, Pangasinan, Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, Davao and Palawan. There are a lot of places in the Philippines to go to. It is really fun exploring them.

Although it is a bit crowded already but I like the ambiance and the climate of Baguio. Of all the places I have been to, that place has made an impact and I really appreciated that unique place. I love the cool weather and just the view of it being on top of the mountain makes me feel relax and at home. The next place I have been to is Bohol, although, I have not fully explored the whole island but the place looks very serene and peaceful to me. The place is just pristine and very peaceful. I also love the beaches there not so crowded compared to Boracay which is really becoming too commercialized already. The last place and I have not reached the place actually is Palawan. I think that is the next place I want to visit if I have the time and money. I think Palawan is the next best place to be in. With nature sprawling and looks untainted with modern civilization. I think that is the best place to relax and cool off.

I understand why that place is your favorite... been there years ago... and it is very beautiful and serene... but i am not really a beach person... so my favorite vacation spot is Baguio... although i haven't been there for years... i used to go there twice a year with my friends... When my daughter is old enough to endure a 6 hour travel... the two of us would go there for a short stay... to enjoy the cold and those delicious strawberries...

My favorite vacation spot is anywhere as long as it's a beach. Boracay, Subic, and San Juan Batangas is one of my favorite beaches in the Philippines. I haven't been to Bicol, Hundred Island or Cebu but I bet the beaches there is breathtaking. There is also some place I want to visit someday, it's Camaroan beach somewhere in Camarines Sur and Amanpulo in Palawan. There is so much to see it's just the limited of funds that is stopping me...

I have a lot of favorite places here in this beautiful country of ours. So far, my very favorite is Coron Island, which is different from Coron Town. Believe it or not, Coron Town is not in Coron Island. Coron Island is the island in front of Coron Town. We spent several days with some indigenous folks who have built their houses in the middle of two very high rock formations. From 6-8pm, there is total darkness, which is really peaceful. We climbed one of these rock formations, walked some 50m and then climbed down to a mini lake with a small island. We swam to the end of it, walked through a forest to emerge in another mini-lake, probably just as big as a swimming pool complete with underwater life. One of the best vacations I had.
