When do the next season start?

I heard the next season will be January next year. Season 8 of 24. I just checked online and saw that the Season Eight, also known as Day 8 began shooting last May 27,2009. Premiere will be on January 17, 2010 and it's official, following the pattern of the show since season four. The story will involve Jack Bauer contending with assassination threats made during a peace conference between President Allison Taylor and President Omar Hassan. The series will relocate to New York and see the re-activation of CTU's New York Office but owing to budget constraints, there will not be any on-location filming in New York City. The start time for the new season will be 4:00pm. I can't wait the show! I love 24 since Season 1.
