my nephew celebrated his first birthday at McDonalds and we had a lot of fun. i know my nephew Kiji had a lot of fun too. it was raining from morning and a few of the guest send us text messages that they can not make it (for in the Philippines when it rains it floods). me and my sister was worried that there might be a few visitors due to the weather. but praise God that even it was raining hard the whole day relatives still showed how much they love Keiji and they were there to celebrate with us. He is one year old already and i am proud to tell that i am a proud aunt and Keiji was in my care for a year. A year more i dont mind, i am happy with Keiji.

left overs for a month? wow that is not easy to consume if you have a few members on your family. in my house that wont be a problem for i have four teen children and they really are eaters like pacman lol. i hate people who does not even send a message that the can not make it. thats rude.

yes that was the very touching part, a few of my sister's friends send text messages that they can not make it, and of course that made her sad. but it turned out that family is still the best for the ones who attended are our relatives on our mom side and dad side. it was fun. thanks for the response

It is definitely the family that make the parties. Children aren't going to remember, but the parents do. I invited over 40 people for my daughter's first birthday. Most of them didn't even have the decency to call and say they weren't coming. The only people that came were neighbors and family. It was still okay, but I had leftovers for a month!

Happy Birthday to your nephew, Kiji! I remember when my kids turned 1 and we celebrated them, too. Everyone was having fun. And now my kids are grown up and whenever we attend birthday parties they would ask about their birthdays. How we celebrated them, the gifts they got, who attended, how fun it was, etc.

the plan was really mcdonalds but we have also tickets for enchanted. the enchanted was just as family. my mom, my kids my older sis, keiji, keiji's mom and dad. but it was raining so hard and we did not persue to go to enchanted for we know we can not enjoy it because of the rain. i still have the tickets and they are effective up to november (lucky us) my moms bday will be on october. so if it will not rain we are planning to go. too bad Keiji's mom and dad can not come with us for they went back at japan already. wow you sure do pay attention with me. thanks for that. hugs

Hi roni
I completely understand how you and your sister felt, thinking that no one will come. I had the same worries with my son's 6th birthday just this Friday. But rain or shine, the fun goes on.
Happy 1st Birthday to Keiji!

hello roniroxas,
Happy birthday to your nephew, and congratulations on the success of the birthday! when my son turned one year old, we decided to celebrate it at home. We thought that we would have more food and more guests in a certain budget compared if we spend same budget in a party in a restaurant. It was tiring and still it was fun. At year three, I decided to celebrate it at Jollibee. I believe that the kid will enjoy it more since, he already know who Jollibee is, and understands already that it is his birthday and knows how to entertain his guests. It was a blast also. We celebrated it on a weeknight, we also thought few people would come since they have work that they, and the time is at night, so some kids won't be able to make it because the next day they will have school, but it turned out we were wrong. still, there were lots of guest to show how important my son is.

i have four teen children and i know how tiring it is to havea party at home. plus the house of my sister is at cavite and travelling there for the visitors is not going to be easy. cavite has skinny streets and it is always traffic. keiji stays with us at marikina and still it would be hard for a few to travel until marikina. so my sister decide to have a party at Mcdonalds some where at cubao so it would be the center of almost all visitors. i know Keiji enjoyed the party for before that he was sleepy but tried to stay awake so he wont miss any part of it. parties are fun as long as you are not going to tire yourself. thanks for the response.
