or woman. bit of a misquote there which i apologise for. have you had or are planning to make any major changes in your life - career change, remarriage, moving to another country [etc]? i'm currently studying for a career change, planning a move from language to science which is pretty different. in fact i'm supposedd to be doing dastardly things to potatoes right now but it's going to have to wait for a little bit.

You are doing too much in your life, which is making you confused. Just do what is necessary and follow your instinct in life and you will never go wrong. If you have to do it you have to do it! Best of luck to you!!

I empathize with you because I've been in the same position as you.I started in sales did law and finally ended dealing in real estate. The most difficult part is in some countries this isn't appreciated as they feel there is no continuity or the person isn't steady. But if there is social acceptance in your country there is no harm in doing it.The only difficulty i feel is you have to change your mindset as each occupation requires a different set of skills and a different response.

I've done the career thing that was difficult, I went from building houses to working in an office wearing dress clothes LOL I was use to wearing shorts and tank tops at the old job and being extremely active to wearing suits and sitting on my butt all day. I've also been remarried and the jury is still out on that one LOL

you have to be patient with them - they don't learn very quickly.

Hi judith, I could probably give you lots of advice of things to do with a potato if you really are experiencing difficulties in that area, and of course once your issues with potatoes are sorted you'll be able to go back to tackling those more important changes in your life, but don't let that stop you from having further dealings with potatoes. I would indeed imagine a difficulty in moving towards science as one must expect to endure a lot of being bored in the process, dastardly boring subject you ought to know. Similar somewhat to technology.

i find it interesting. in fact nearly all my waking thoughts are concerned with enzyme reactions in spuds. actually the only bit that i find boring is all the repetitions you have to do in experiments.

that is scientific language. well you have to mix the potatoes with hydrogen peroxide to get the full reaction. you could add that to your boiling potatoes - might add a certain piquancy.

I cannot remember the number of times that I have reinvented myself. They say that necessity is the mother of invention and my need to succeed has caused me to metamorphose into something I never dreamed I would turn into. Latest cocoon might turn me into a jazz pianist albeit a clunky one.

Right now, I am jobless if working on the internet can be called a job. It might be a job but it gives me no regular income so I don't really have a job. I don't have a piano so I just move my fingers as though I am playing the piano, when I lay down to rest. It keeps my fingers nimble. Six months ago I was manager of a banana farm. I was a programmer and I still make software for my own use. I have just recently written a script which will allow me to post to my blogs without opening each one using a browser. Cheers!!

hi how many corners etc etc the answer my friend is blowing on the wind, the answer is blowing inthe wind. I think that means that each person must seek his own answer and then' act accordinly. that is quite a switch but I bet that is the'thing you always wanted to do. I made an error when I was 56 and went back to get my degree in majoring in English when I wanted to major in Library Science instead never do to something you really dont want when you know what you do want.so it means a major upheavel but 'you will be glad just the same. the answer is blowing in the wind.
