To you, Who's the greatest person of your country?

Every country has their own great people in history and at present and we all have our own ideas about them.
I'm from China and I live in the UK now. To me the greatest person of China is Confusious. His pholosophy had huge influence on Chinese people as well as on people from other countries. The greatest person of the UK is Chuchill he saved the world during the second world war.
So to you Who's the greatest person of your country?

For me it is our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. He fought for our freedom at the time that Spain occupied our land. He devote his time doing great articles, books, novels that explains the state and condition of our country in the hands of foreign dictators. He has given his own life to fight for every Filipinos right and he is such a big inspiration for all of us.

I'm also from China. In my view, the greatest person was Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. It was him who united China for the first time. He also took various methods to consolidate the union, including standardized written language and measures. Though he was a controversial politician, I still regard him as a great Chinese.

for me it would be mahatma gandhi ,the father of our nation.in fact he is one of the greatest person in this world in my view.he not only guided india towards freedom but also provided us with the wonderful weapons of non-violence,satyagraha,swaraj.he was one gutsy leader who admitted his own errors and vices as a human being .he was capable of inspiring many a lives then and today too.

Haha...a funny discussion,but there is no doubt that Chairman Mao is the greatest person in our country.He help to build up our new country and liberate all the Chinese in 1949.And toyear is the sixtieth anniversary of China's founding.We will forever show our respect to the great Chairman Mao...

I think this place should be given to none other than Gandhi ji, he was a very famous person of India,every man knows him here,he was a freedom fighter and through peace he helped our country get freedom.
