Happiness is a big issue for most of us (if not all).We live, we play, we love, we fight,we strive, we work to achieve some success that consequently give us satisfaction and happiness. But the quest for happiness is endless. There is no definite point in life where we can rest and say we are happy. Or is there? Do you think there is a sure way or road to success? A road where we will never get lost? How do you find true happiness in life? Can you share with me your opinion on this? Thanks.

I believe that each person has their own unique idea of happiness and it could change in different times in their lives. For example, a twenty year old may seek happiness finding the right husband and raising children. But at forty, I want to maintain my marriage and raise my kids to be polite, kind, productive people. And a fifty year old probably looks forward to retirement but wants to do well at their job for now. So each person has defferent ideas about happiness and that can change at different stages of their lives.

Thanks Steph!
I guess there is really no definite point in your life wherein you can say i'm happy and i'll never be sad again. It depends on how you work to achieve your happiness and on how you view or define true happiness or you. Maybe we just have to learn to be grateful for all the blessings we receive each day and be contented with them. Most of the unhappy people are those who keep on wanting things they could never have. Thank you for being the first to respond.

Happiness is a state of mind; do not bother to go looking for it. Abraham Lincoln said,
"Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."
It is your life, so take time to be happy. It does not matter if you have a family or not, possessions or not, many friends or few; you can still be happy if you make up your mind that is what you want.
