I LOVE dancing, but on certain nights at the club I go to, especially the 80's night on Thursday. This past Thursday, I had some teen girl (18+) who decided it would be great to dance around me and make fun of me, I was nice and told her that if she didn't know how to dance she should get off the dance floor. Am I to old to be doing this (I'm 43, latin and been working in dance clubs for 10 years and been going to dance clubs since 19)? Is there an age limit to going out and having fun?

If there is such a thing as an age limit it certainly isn't 43, you should be able to go out and dance all night. And believe it or not the older you get the more demand there will be for you as a partner. Women live longer than men, all you have to do is the math. Blessings

It wouldn't matter if you were 80, if you felt like going out and dancing, you have every right to! The lady dancing around you, taunting you really had no right to do such a thing. Maybe she was just jealous of you. She may have thought that you could move better, were hotter, and so on. Don't pay any attention to people like that. They may get a thrill out of being rude to others, but that doesn't mean that you should pay them any heed! Keep dancing to your heart's content is all I can say!

Wow Thanks! Still do whenever I get the chance, best exercise for the mind, body and soul as far as I am concerned. Keeps you in a young frame of mind.

no, i dont think there is any age limit. going out and dancing is just an entertainment outlet for many people of all ages, no matter how they dance like, whether they are professional or they suck. they are all just having fun and expressing themselves with one another as well as socializing and relieving tension.

Hey, even if you were 103, there is no reason at all that you shouldn't be out enjoying yourself. I think the girls attitude just showed her own immaturity - how sad that she has no better way of enjoying herself than to mock others. I think you would have been quite justified in striking out with an elaborate dance move and (accidentally of course) slapping her in the face.
She's the one with the problem - you stick with it for as long as you like and dont let her put you off!

That's funny what you said to her, I woulda said the same thing... Then again, I don't really go out to clubs, but that's only because I'm inable to do so. I believe that if the normal forces aren't acting against you (i.e. finances, time, confidence) age shouldn't be a factor at all. To go out and have fun is to be human.

Mind you, when I said that, I was fully prepared for the consequences (she had to males with her). But, in the end it blew over and I got to keep on dancing.
