Biggest facebook pet peeve ever!

I'm not one of those people who constantly checks facebook, I just enjoy having it to communicate with people who I might not necessarily keep in contact with due to our schedule or locations. I HATE getting friend requests from people who knew me in highschool (its been 6 years since I graduated) and never spoke to me back then. Usually, I will add them and if they don't message me for anything in the following couple weeks, I will delete them. What's the point? Woohoo, you look popular by adding me! It makes me so angry!
