Most times we see good social networking sites like mylot and others and just jump in and use it as a source of networking for friends or as a means of making extra pay. But do we bother at all to find out who the real owners of these sites are and what their intentions were when they first developed this site.
I may be as guilty as the rest of you but has anyone bothered to find out who the real owners of mylot is?

The easiest way to find the name behind any registered website is by using 'whois'. There are many sites offering this service. Do a search on any popular search engine for 'whois'. Take your pick of the sites that are listed under the search. Many of the sites will give you the details of the name a web entity is registered under, and a mailing address. The details may be faked, but for this site they are genuine. I am not telling you the details because I would like you to get used to the function 'whois'.

hi there rosdimy, I very much know about allwhois and the function for which it was established. What i actually meant by this thread I put up was for those we may want to convince to join.
At least we all know there are very few sites like mylot.
Thanks for sharing man.

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood the underlying meaning of your discussion (rosdimy slaps himself on the right cheek)
There are epeople who will be hard to be convinced, because there are people who have been saying bad things on various forums. At least one of them is fairly active here, possibly a case of eating the hand that gives out food. (I know the full proverb, but I feel uneasy about using it now).
