We all have online friends. Some are close & some just communicate thro' mails , messengers & so on.Some call them over phone. I have 3 online friends whom I call or they call me.One is from USA(North Carolina), the other 2 from the Philiphines. We almost speak to one another once a week. Do you call your online friends & communicate with them over phone?

Where in NC is this person do you know? I had an online friend from California I would call. It's interesting to talk to people on the phone. I've also texted a guy from New Jersey. I don't talk to them anymore, lost touch really.

Yos I'd really like to call him over the telephone or whatever communication device just to talk to him. He was just my friend online and we spend months as cyber friend. But even once it did not yet happend. I'm a freindly girl and like to chat with other both sexes. Talking to them over the phone is exciting as seeing them they are close to me.

I would love to call and be called by friends online. I had this friend from an online game here in my country and she moved overseas and we still call each other together with our friends once a month. I also had this online friend with the same company I worked for years ago and called me once a week.

No I do not speak to any online people that I know only through the internet. I suppose I have not yet seen any online friendships as one where communicating in person is an option. I don't think you can be too careful online anyway.

I don't call my online friends over the phone but I do talk with them over at skype and YM. It's much cheaper. We always talk and chat almost everyday. I have online friends from singapore, germany and egypt that I regularly chat and talk with. Before I used to call my BOF (Best Online Friend) on his mobile phone. How I wish I could do that again. I don't want to bother his internet time. He's using his mobile to use the internet. LOL...HUGZ to you!!!

If our time difference allow, we call over yahoo because it's a free call. It's a bit harder because you have to be glued to your computer, but it's nice to hear their voices. For the contacts I have in the states, we talk on the phone or via cell phone at least once a week. I think online friendships are great, but when you hear the voice, it just brings it all home for you.

no i haven't tried calling my online friend through phone yet. It's very much costly, the rate of the phone per call if you are calling outside country is pretty much higher than chatting them online or using skype or messenger, that can save.

Hey Krupesh, I was living in the US and so have several friends there. I do call them or they call me. Either ways we keep in touch. My best friend is from the UK so we keep in touch too. Its a good thing we have the internet. VOIP calls using Skype are the best for me, coz else its really expensive to make calls to other countries from here

Hello Krupesh, I like your avatar! And this is a nice discussion, . I have my online friends too. But for me, I never call my online friends before. Maybe because we don't need to do so... Most of the time we will meet at MSN. I think it become more easy if we chat at MSN! When you call your friends which is from over sea, you are calling using MSN call phone or land line phone or cell phone? Some of my online friends have exchange cell phone numbers with me. We have send text message to each other, but not yet call each other before. If one day I receive online friend's call, I think I will feel panic because I had never hear their voice before, LOL.

I only call close friends on certain occassions like birthdays. The internet is the most economical way to communicate.

Not really, mostly because of the high price rates that calling to another country implies. However, just recently I used to mantain calls with a more recent friend of mine through skype, it's a free program after all.

Yes, a few months ago my foreign friend and I often chatted via the net and telephone. As he wants to study more Chinese. So he called me and therefore he could practise his speaking and listening. I love China

No I don't call them specially if they are out of the country for the obvious reason what it is expensive. I think that would be understandable. We do have messengers where we could continue communicating with them. To those who can afford , it is not a problem at all.

No, I don't have the experience to call the online international friends, maybe I should follow you to utilize some communication tool to speak with each other instead of tedious typing communication.

Hi krupesh Waw! it must be nice for you. I haven't had any online friends yet. My friends so far only in mylot and it's not a close one too, only say "hi" and respond in each discussion.. If I have close online friend, surely I will call him/her. Once a week? that's quiet intense conversation.. why don't you just use chat? But I think that's good if you wanna maintain good relationship with them.. Good luck with your online friends It's good to have many friends across nationality because we can ask the true condition in one's country and don't you think have more friends always good?

hi krupesh! No, i don't communicate with my friend from other countries over the phone, it would be very costly and nowadays we have to save every penny that we have, we still feel the bits and pieces of recession in the country that currently we are in. The internet is a cheapest means of communication and fortunately all my friends has an access with it and so we keep in touch regularly via email or yahoo messenger. Cheers!
