Our manager will buy me a buffet tomorrow, and I search the buffet on the net and defined as a system of serving meals in which food is placed in a public area and dinners generally serve themselves. Buffet is very popular in English-Speaking country world, and spead into other contry very soon.
The Chinese buffet is surely different with the buffet in US, and An Indian buffet in Australia is definitely different from the ones in local. How do you like buffet? Have you ever tried different ways of buffet and what's differece?
When you get into a buffet hotel or restaurnt, what you eat most? Will you choose the most expensive to eat or your favorite to eat?

I like buffets and we have many of them here in Florida where I live. There is an American home-style buffet that my husband and I enjoy going to but our favorites are the seafood ones. I also like Chinese and Japanese buffets. When I go to one I usually eat what I like the most and don't think about the cost. For instance, I prefer chicken to prime rib and, while my husband likes the prime rib more and gets that, I almost always get chicken.

Wow, your words make my mouth water..For me, I will get directly to the food I like, for example salad, icecream and my friends always commented on the food I take," you should take the expensive food, saying the seafood oyster, otherwise it may not worth it if you spend almost 68 RMB on the buffet"..Hehe~~I have never tried the Japanese buffet and US one, hope that I can have the chance to take it someday...LOL

When we first started going to buffet style restaurants the goal was to "get our money's worth" and so we would over eat and not feel very well once we left. But, we got out of that habit. I don't think the goal should be to eat with money in mind but, rather, to enjoy yourself and eat as much of whatever you like.

Hi Spalladino,
We aways can not control ourselves when we happened to the delicious food we expected.Always stomach is empty in, but fully out, particularly for those food we seldom take in the routine life. But If I take the buffet once a week, I am swear not to make my stomach round..hehe...

Speaking of buffets, we are going to have one right now. I don't usually eat in buffet restaurants, but I'm really looking forward to this one because I would be eating for free. It's not every day that I get a free meal you know. And this buffet is kind of expensive, so I feel really glad that I would have a chance to experience it.

I do enjoy eating at a buffet. I like to visit any kind of buffet. Generally, I just like to eat whatever favorite food I like to eat there. Sometimes I do like to experiment and try a new food I have never eaten before.

I really love buffet. I think the idea of having is like having an all you can eat meal. I think that it is the best way of serving food. As long as the food serve are delicious I don't really mind. I don't realize that buffet is used differently in different counties, From what I have known A buffet is like having an all you can eat in one table and you just pick up what you would like to eat. I really depends upon the place on where the buffet is held. I like to eat different kind of dishes and as long as it is still clean then I'll be able to eat and taste the food. I really admire food and I think that food are the very basic needs of man. Have fun eating buffet.

i like buffet style of serving meals in restaurants. u have the liberty to go back to the buffet table if u still feel like eating. u have the liberty to choose the food u want to eat and there is a lot to choose from.
also, it does not take long for me to wait for my food to arrive at my table unlike when u wait for ur ordered meal.
i almost always try to taste a little of everything of the food served so that i will know which ones are delicious and which should be good for a second serving.

I absolutely adore buffets because you can whatever you want there, and just eat one thing in large quantities. I happen to like a lot of expensive foods anyway, so eating my favorite food normally equates to eating the most expensive food there. :) No point in forking out all the cash for an all-you-can-eat if you don't take advantage of it and eat expensive stuff, right?

Yes and no. I love it since I can choose the food that I love from the wide range of food. Compared to the one that served on my table, I prefer it since it's more relaxing and I can choose to sit anywhere I like after that. For the no part, I am shy for second helping. That plate won't fit a lot of food. I may end up picking this and that and wish I can have more.

Resturauns that have buffets are definately a fun choice. I find that they are a great place to go out to eat if you are going with a group of people, as everyone will certainly be able to find something they like there. I also like buffets a lot because it allows me the oppotunity to try foods that i have never had before or am not sure if i will like, as i can take just a small portion, and if i take a bite and find tht i don't like the taste, i don't have to eat any more or it, and haven't wasted money on a full serving of something i wasn't sure about. As to what i go for when i am eating at a buffet, it really depends on what kind of mood i am in. I tend to try a large variety of things, just little bites of them, then if i find something i really like, i can go back and get more...but you can bet if i go to a buffet that has crab legs on it..i will be hitting up that section multiple times during my visit!!
Here's a tip for people who want to try out a buffet. Make sure to go during a BUSY meal time. If you frequent a buffet when there are lots of diners, the food gets refreshed and refilled with new things much more often, but if you go at a time when they aren't very busy, you wil be apt to find food that is drying out and not as good as it has been sitting under the heating lamps/water tables for a while.

I generally enjoy buffets, but most of the time when I do go for one, I tend to overeat to make it worth the money :P Hence, I try not to go for too many since it would be really unhealthy. As for the choice of food to eat, I mostly try and taste a bit of everything they have, and then go for the ones that I find most to my liking.
I'm not sure how the buffets in other countries, but from what I understand it should only refer to the type of food served in the buffet.

I love buffets. I think it's tons of fun to be able to try different dishes. I usually walk around and scan the buffet to see what looks good. Depending on the type of buffet it is. I usually start out by attacking the appetizers first, then I go and stuff myself with my favorite things, usually seafood. I usually skip dessert unless it looks really good, cuz I'm usually too full to look at anymore food.
