Nobody has given a book to me on my birthday, nor have I given one to anybody. But my daughter was presented a book on her birthday by her teacher.

I did but not often. I will buy a book as a gift if there's a book my friends been looking for and haven't manage to buy one. Or like hot seller and he/she been craving for one but miss a chance for pre-order due to unavoidable circumstances. It's like when Harry Potter new novel released, I pre-ordered and send it as a gift for my friend. She was delighted when she received it.

not all of my friends love to read. i think i have only given books as presents maybe twice or thrice.
