Well i have my own computer but still sometimes i go to cyber cafe just to meet some friends out there as the owner of the cafe is friend of mine.
Earlier i didnt have an internet connection, so i used to access internet from there.
But now i have an internet connection but sometimes i still go there.
Probably for fun !!!!
And about purchasing a computer, that's all depends upon your requirements and budget.
Go for a pc that suits your requirements and budget. But i'll tell you a decent configuration that may suits our budget.
Intel DG-35 motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2.8GHz
2 x 2GB DDR2 RAM 800Mhz
Hard Disk(prefer Western Digital-500GB 32 MB cache it's a great one, could be increased if you need more)
Optical Drive(DVD writer)
A power supply(any good brand and of around 400-450 Watts)
A nice cabinet
A good Monitor(LCD screen of around 19 or 21 inch widescreen 16:9)
Keyboard and mouse (logitech or microsoft)
Well this will be a decent config pc and can do a lot of task.
If you need to do some extreme gaming and some imaging/video editing kind of work, then add a good graphic card too in this.

Hey,
I think that you should probably stop going to the Cyber, I think that you should probably buy your own computer, even an EEE PC I think would be enough, as long as you pretty much just use your computer for the Internet and word documents. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hey,
Yea I think all that money that you have spent going other places and paying for the Internet, might have been a waste of money. I highly recommend you get a laptop, preferably Core 2 Duo, or Core i7 if they have made it for laptops. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

Thankfully I own a laptop and I have two in fact so I do not need to have to go to other places however I need to go to cyber cafe only when my Internet bill is very high and to avoid the scolding of parents I prefer to sit quietly in the cyber cafe and surf only till the money is over not at the same at home where we surf unlimited.
Prefer you buy a laptop, a Dell one.

almost all of my household have a dell laptop, the oldest version of the inspiron until the latest inspiron, the vostro model. The latest one that I bought is the xps M1330 limited edition. Its cool, its have an excellent performance, attractive design, LED back-light display is amazing, nice keyboard, good built-in camera, blu-ray player and solid built quality. Its designed for those that need the power on the go, its very suitable for those who love gaming.

i think depends on ur application.
if u are a general user then go for intel core2duo processor , 2gb ram atlesat and 500gb hardisk
if u are a gamer then look for this configuration as quad2core processor may be intel or amd 4gb ram , and 1tb hdd and a graphic card of 512mb atleast.
