you did the right choice.you choose the one that will make you happy.if I were you,I'd also choose the dog.I will be happier with a dog than with a phone.a dog is a great company.s/he can make you smile and will wait for you to get home.

what is wrong with choosing what you like? you will probably have more fun with the dog. it is like a child. great for companionship, a lot of work, feeding, walking, bathing, potty training, grooming, making sure its needs are taken care of, etc. blackberry is only used once in a while, as needed. the dog will keep you busy. you might even meet more people because animals attract others.

I would have made the same choice. I do not see anything wrong in that decision. the dog will give you years of happiness maybe a little grief too. But that is all of what life is about. The phone would not have lasted nearly as long. I think having a new best friend is always a much better choice than some new "Fad" gadget that will be obsolete in a month or two! Take good car of that dog and he will take good care of you. :)

The happiness in you generated by the fact you'll see the doggy learning what you'll teach is far biger than any IT gadget may give. And many years from now, after the doggy will be long time gone, you will sure enjoy to have a look at a photo album and remember moments you shared with him .. while I never hear of nobody making pictures of his (name-of-electronic-gadget) and keep it in an photo album .. I am sure you allready made few pictures with the doggy as puppy, yet also I am sure you haven't made pictures with your new color TV set ...
